One major flaw with the handicap system, although not to the cheating bastard extreme you played against, is one that I encounter. I AM going to blow up on a 2-3 holes , but for the most part, play at or below par for the rest of the round. In a match play situation, this is really frustrating to the consistent, good player whom I get to play. On the flip side of that, I know a couple guys who when out of a hole, will just happen to three putt to keep the handicap up. Pricks.

Being in the heart of ACC Country, it was too bad the Beavers won. The only saving grace is that it was the Tarheels ( ) that lost. If someone in the ACC has to lose, I'm glad it is the Heels.

I had a buddy who bought some Callaway irons on E-Bay, and liked them. He took them with him to Asia on business, and upon reentering this country, they were taken by a customs official. The customs official showed him, through manufacturers markings, that they were counterfeits. Then, the clubs were confiscated, since my friend could not prove he didn't buy them in Asia, and destroyed. He says there is a huge market in Asia where you can buy these clubs that look exactly the same, but are clones. As a result, I'm sure that they make it in to our country, and are sold on E-Bay. When I recently bought my Mizuno irons, I took the E-Bay median price to my local shop, and they matched it. I'd try this first.

Is 18 holes not much of an honest chance? If not, you are right. I'm pretty sure the first time I played the ProV, and 1x, I knew on those rounds I had found my ball. I guess what I trying to say, simply put, is that for me to switch from the Titleist, I would have needed to have been extremely impressed with the ball, and I was not in an 18 hole audition. That is really interesting about the auditory nature of "feel." I'm gonna try that on a putting green this weekend- I'll report back.

Grab a towell from the cart, soak it with water, wipe down the clubs after each shot. Works for me.

I read your glowing review, which prompted me to buy the balls, and give them an 18 hole workout. Apparently, I don't like a ball as hard as you like to play with.. I did not have spin control issues with the ball, just feel issues. Maybe I've just obtained a certain feel to expect with the 1x. By your review- it is a harder ball than the 1x, right? I am particular about the ball I play with, and when it's not windy, play the Pro V, as I like the feel of a softer ball. Just my opinion, which happens to be different from yours, "It's as good as any other $40/doz ball out there." I disagree.

Had an exciting and frustrating round yesterday. Started out DOUBLE DOUBLE........ , birdie, bogie. Then parred in for a 40 on the front. Started the back birdie, birdie, par, birdie, birdie, par, par. Then, I crapped the bed- Double, bogie, to shoot -1, 35 on the back. WHY CAN'T I KEEP A GOOD THING GOING? God do I love/ hate this game. I'll take a 75, but this minus 3 holes was under par.

There is a thread somewhere on here with tons of reviews. I haven't weighed in yet on the black, but played them this weekend. It felt like I was hitting a brick. I didn't think there was much, if any, feel around the greens either. I have a very high swing speed, and disliked the ball immensely. Just my two cents.

Sure Nicolas. They should probly have to use old persimon woods and balata balls too. Maybe Niblics and featheries should be on the menu for all Masters from now on. Maybe your company should not be allowed to sell over the internet. You should be able to go door to door to sell your wares, but you don't. You have found tools avaiable to make your JOB easier, and able to compete better in your field, and take advantage of them. Why can't pro golfers take advantage of the new tools in their JOB like you?

I think Tiger is the better golfer, and certainly a better closer. The question was is who is better RIGHT NOW . If that is this poll and argument in this thread, Phil is better RIGHT NOW , but not necesarily a better golfer overall, since Tiger has had 8 weeks of break/ grieving to contend with. If Tiger and Phil are to be judged now, the only indicator we have is by recent performance, and in this case, Phil mopped the floor with him.

I wish we didn't have to hear Johnny Miller talking about how good he was instead of talking about the golf being played. 1 more comment about how he was better than Nicholas or anyone last time they played Winged Foot and I was gonna find him on the course and kill him. I believe he should be thrown out of the booth.

I can not believe the Monty meltdown. We've all talked about the Phil melting, but Monty.switched clubs to a shorter one right before he swung, and put it the one place he COULD NOT par from- short right. I don't know if there was some caddy problem or bad advice there, but did anyone else notice that Monty's caddie took off his yellow caddie garb BEFORE leaving the 18 green to head to the clubhouse? Interesting.

Simple- who wins?

He is only using one driver this week. If he wants to carry 13 drivers and a putter, let him.
