I see it daily only to watch them chunk, top or shank the next shot with an iron. People concern themselves with being great off the tee and place less emphasis on the more important parts of your game like iron play, chipping and lag putting.

I still see many scratch golfers and single didget handicappers like myself playing so called game improvement irons. To me its all about feel and Ill probably never ditch my Adams 1208 irons. Just love how they feel through impact. I just like cavity back irons and see no need to break the bank on blades that vibrate unless you hit the dime sized sweet spot every time.

A set of neoprene iron head covers. Got sick of bag chatter and my irons are fairly new.

Id go with an Adams tight lies set which is a GI set without the oversized heads....As for a driver you should look for something with more loft, a shorter length (44 inch), and a lighter flex which all would give you more control as a high hdcp player and then gradually work your way up with equipment as your game improves. Yesterday I played a round at Stoneridge in Northern Idaho with my dad. We play pretty fast so there was a lot of waiting and play throughs due to a packed course. As we were waiting on the 3rd tee box for the foursome in front of us to tee off something hilarious happened. One of the guys (he looked like a biker with the handle bar mustache) stepped up, took a huge swing and on his down swing he ripped a loud, greasy fart. It sounded wet and all his buddies were laughing as were me and my dad. Whats worse is his shot sliced hard right and hit the side of a condo that lined the fairway. Being the smart ass that I am I yelled "hey buddy you need some toilet paper?". He snapped his neck back at me and gave me the finger..lmao Ithought he was going to charge at me. Lol:-D

Oh ok thats what Ive noticed. I think it was 08 or 09 so if your clubs were manufactured before that it wouldnt be rellevant.
