Having some real doubts over my understanding of Trackman numbers at the moment - hoping to get some info on here. In the attached picture of Landry's swing, my understanding is that: - he swings out to in with a -1.1 club path; - his club face is just open to target (0.7) and is therefore 1.8 open to path This, in my limited knowledge, should result in a ball starting very slightly left of target and cutting. Yet the picture, curve and the spin axis show a draw... Any idea?

I've been Playing Golf for: 17 years My current handicap index or average score is: 17 UK Handicap My typical ball flight is: Since changing swing recently it has been a high right to left ball flight, starting at target and moving away to the left. In the past it was a block starting right of target and moving further right. Ive been trying to learn from Ben Hogan's fundamentals recently hence the swing change. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Fat shots. I hit ground before ball on 90% of shots and it severley affects my distance. Would like to reduce the "loopyness" of my ball flight also. Videos: https://vid.me/bXE9 https://vid.me/Gdz7 If anyone can help me embed this videos it would be much appreciated

Looking for any tips on getting the clubface closed at impact. My current bad shot is a high shot, starting right of the pin and moving further right. I am quite sure, from looking at my swing stats on swingbyte, that I have an in to out swing path with a massively open face. If I slow my swing right down, I can see that the back of my left hand is facing right of the pin and the club face is really open. It is currently really bad with my driver too. Any general tips? Dont have any swing videos for now.

My best round by far today although was only a front 9. Previous best 43 (par 36). Today hit a 38 including my very first (and probably only) hole in one on the Par 3, 160 yard 7th. Two 3 putts and a water hazard included, could have been even better!

Back on the range after the festive period and striking as good as ever using S&T.; However, I seem to strike every iron straight right. They are lovely looking shots but just always about 10 yards right of the target, Is this a common issue/is there a fix?

Back to range and I'm really seeing improvements in my striking of 6iron and up. However it feels as if my 4 iron and 7 iron are going exact same distance. Just not same connection with longer irons yet

First round using swing after a few successful days at range. Worst round of year. Pull hooks every single shot. Uncontrollable. Any idea why this would happen using S

I am unsure of the exact accuracy in comparison with, for example, flightscope, but those are near enough the exact ball flights. 7 iron looks straight, fades a little and the bounce is always right. Driver I try more for an in-out swing to stop my slice but it seems just to make it worse. Appears from comments that this is due to the open face. Not sure how to improve that yet though -

Thanks. Just bought the S&T; book so hopefully that will go a long way to stop slicing. Really starting to understand a golf swing. Before I would just throw my club at ball and hope -
Gave the swing a go at range last night. Haven't purchased either book or DVD yet but just going by some basic YouTube videos. Really see a change in flight of ball. Nice draw sometimes becoming a hook though. Also struggling off tee with it. I'm going to research it further and see what I've missed (probably something glaring) before trying again. Was sure I was still striking ground behind the ball rather than down on the ball into the ground in front though.

Thanks I would definitely recommend, even if I'm currently quite unsure of the meaning of the results -
If its a case of one or the other, would I be best to learn from the book or DVDs?

From watching Ryder Cup and taking part in a few replica tournaments with mates, I really find team golf the most exciting form of the game. I have however noticed that chances to play in similar formats are limited (in Scotland anyway) to the best golfers. Each club here has a team that competes in a local league but there is no way of me getting near it currently. Is it the same where you are? Any ideas how to play team golf without being a scratch golfer?

Thanks for the bump. Clearly an area where not too many are experienced. Will need to just video swing next time -
SwingByte and SwingByte 2 Discussion Thread

Hi there Brand new to the forum and keen to start getting involved. I've recently purchased a swingbyte 2.0 and have been using it at the range recently. Ive posted links below to what appears to be my average driver swing and average 7 iron swing. I would just like to know what I should be concentrating on improving. I realise my swings for irons and driver are completely different and this needs to be sorted but I just can't get a consistent swing across my woods and irons that works. I am confused to whether the 'perfect swing' is an in-out swing or a perfectly straight swing also. As a bit of help I'm hitting my 7 iron quite nicely but slicing my driver badly 7 iron: https://rest.swingbyte.com/s/LwUTqB8BRcy95g18O0AwjQ Driver: https://rest.swingbyte.com/s/6JRBfuW7RIOfCw2HpdAM5Q Thanks -
Shot a 91 on my home course (par 72). One over thru 5 then blew up on 6th. Been having lessons recently and purchased a swingbyte and can really see the improvement in my iron play. Shame my driver and 3 wood were putting me in all sorts of trouble throughout. Never broke 90 (my current 'handicap' is a guesstimate until my cards are accepted) but really should have today!
