Hello all, After trying to improve my game myself, I have decided I am wasting my time and would benefit from some professional help. As you may have noticed I live in San Jose, I was hoping someone could recommend a PGA pro in this area. I have looked at Golftec (at golfsmith or Golf Galaxy now), Matt Flenniken at Los Lagos golf course and I have seen a few deals for San Jose Muni. I am looking at buying a package of 6-10 lessons. Hello everyone, I just bought a new Taylormade R15 head only, along with a UST Mamiya- Proforce V2 Wood shaft, i took it to PGA superstore and had it assembled. I didn't realize that I had purchased a 14 degree loft driver head.... I know pay attention to what you buy.. I have read that a higher degree driver would increase backspin and possibly increase the accuracy of my drives, which I am in need of. That being said, does anyone know if I would be able to buy a lower lofted version of a R15 and just switch it? Would I need to have a clubmaker tweak anything? Thanks for any feed back. Rocky

Hello, I am in need of a few tips on correcting my slice when using my driver. I believe my swing path is from outside in, causing a nasty slice that really derails my game mentally. I have been working on keeping my head still but I have a few two many things going on in my head and it makes for a rough swing. I was hoping for one thing that I can really work on to hopefully simplify my swing to help keep my ball in the fairway off the tee. Thank you all for your help. Rocky

When counting total putts, do you count a putt from the fringe as a putt? Might be a dumb question so feel free to make fun of me.. Thanks, Rock

I was lucky enough to have a friend who hated his R1 and decided to give it to me.. Now that I am the new owner of a slightly used R1 I have a few questions.. 1, My friend is 6'8 and decided to buy it with a extra stiff shaft, I normally hit a stiff shaft and mentioned to another friend that I was planning on getting another shaft for it and he said that it was a bad idea because the stock shaft is matched to the club. Has anyone replaced their shaft on the R1 and would anyone have any advice? 2, I guess his girlfriend hit it a few times and there is a chip on the the paint on the crown, no damage just missing paint chip. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix it? Thanks in advance for all your help.. Rocky

I'm still in for the 15th

I recently took a lesson and made some changes to my swing and I also started playing with a new set of irons. I wen to the range before playing a round on Monday, and hit the ball pretty well. I hit my driver more accurately then I have ever have and although I was accurate on the range with my irons, I really struggled with my approach shots. Can anyone suggest some drills that i can do to practice the conditions that you normally find on the course? My first thought was to just play more, but that can get expensive, so I was hoping for another way. Thanks in advance for your feed back.

I just put a 3H in my bag, I have only played one round, but I hit it much better then my 3i.
