  1. That explains it. Yeah, all of my pms were deleted.
  2. I noticed most of my PMs were deleted. Rep Points and stuff is now gone. Handicaps have changed? But nothing was announced in Tech Support?
  3. Once a year I have mine checked.
  4. They also do an amazing job on rims/wheels for cars.
  5. Thats nice. We have one short par 4 on my home course, but the risk reward just isnt there. Its 297 to the pin and only 280 to the front of the green. But 20 yard lake right in front of the green. I have hit 100 balls at it in practice rounds and never cleared that lake. I guess I just cant get it 260 in the air on that hole. It kills me everytime.
  6. I liked this driver slightly, but the sound killed it for me.
  7. Steel wool will most likely clean well, but add a few more scratches to them. I once a year use metal polish. But that is more to the back to clean them up. The face is what it is. After all, we are hitting them off of the ground.
  8. It is a great feeling. Congrats. The score will follow.
  9. I take my phone onto the course. Dont take any calls, but txt once in a while or return emails if it gets slow. I have to, what if there is an emergency at home.
  10. I thought I read that Vodka ( unflavored of course) must be colorless and tasteless. The only taste you should get is that of alcohol and the cheaper the vodka (quality not price) the worse the alcohol taste is.
  11. If your swing speed is in the 90s a stiff shaft would probably be your best bet.
  12. Here is what I found on the subject, and although it is from 4 years ago, it still seems pretty accurate. It is from clubrepairnews.com "Can today’s metal woods and hybrids be bent? Even though a lot of people will immediately say no, the correct answer is “yes” with certain requirements. While there are limitations, many of today’s metal woods and hybrids are indeed bendable, especially stainless steel heads. Forged titanium models are bendable as well. Provided the hosel is long enough to allow the bending bar to fit over its length, metal woods and hybrids can be custom fit to a player. This applies to both face angle and lie. What about bending the loft of metal woods and hybrids? When you bend the hosel toward or away from the face plane you open or close the club’s face angle. This will change the playing loft of the club by changing the trajectory of the ball. But it will potentially cause misdirected shots. It is ideal to play with square face clubs. Don’t be misled by reports that tour professionals de-loft their drivers and get more distance."
  13. That you know of
  14. No question about it. And Charles Howell? Please.
  15. Cleaning out the HUMI and put everything in the new one. Have a bunch of cigars to send to some fellow sand trappers if they want some. Quality good stuff in mystery packs. Leave a message here and then PM me with your name and address and they will go out on Monday. Just a thanks to all that are here on the board.
  16. According to the website apparently we are both correct. It is named for the way the face and grooves are cut. What do you know. here is the quote "Vokey Spin Milled wedges feature a CNC machine cut face and grooves"
  17. Actually that is incorrect. It is named for the way the face is done, not the grooves. Thanks
  18. It is very amusing to me that a lot of the younger kids on the forums just say "go play". There attitudes will certainly change in a few years.
  19. YOu hit into people? That is just wrong.
  20. He is. There were a couple playing that driver.
  21. I dont see people really gaining 30 more yards by switching drivers. Not when you are a 6. I recommend going to a local Edwin Watts or Golfsmith and hitting them on the launch monitor. See which one feels the best or if they feel better than the one you are hitting.
  22. Actually I was referring to the Tour Hyper X which is used quite a bit I believe.
  23. Many like the look of the oil can and satin finishes because the reflection that chrome gives off at address. The oil can wears down rather quickly and gives a nice rust look to it. There are two kinds of Vokey wedges spin milled and regular. Although the grooves are the same, the spin milled seem to have more durability to some and spin a little more to some as well. The spin milled wedges are available down to 54 degree IIRC.
  24. Thanks, I was looking for that.
  25. We have a rule in my household. I can play anytime during the week, and can play weekends as long as I am done by 1pm. I dont play weekends much anyway, so it works out perfectly.
