  1. bad course management? This is phil mickelson go for it all on every shot! I enjoy watching him try these impossible shots don't get me wrong but course management your kidding me right?! He has horrible course management he either goes for it and doesn't usually succeed or has poor course management aka driver at winged foot or over thinks his course management like hitting three wood the first two rounds at torrey pines. you saw where that got him 275 away in the rough while tiger and A scott were at least further up so if they were in the rough they had a more lofted club in their hands. Phil tried to use good course managament and overthought things i think his quote was, "i want to hit the ball around 275 and have it run out to300 because anything over 300 the fairways turn or there is trouble." It is hard for it to "run out" to 300 when you hit it in the rough everytime you idiot. I am sorry phil but tiger didn't get into much trouble banging it out there 330 on one leg oh and by the way he won the tournament doing that. Poor phil as rick reilly would say "watching phil is like watching a drunk chase a balloon on the edge of the cliff." Man i do miss his back page article in sports illustrated.
  2. you need to the 32's are the best iron i have ever hit and trust me i have hit a lot of different irons. 57 i think has a little more muscle back than the 60's but essentially they are the same.
  3. favorite shot to hit is the punch cut or draw 3iron. watched anthony kim hit it on 3 and 5 of the horrible horshoe down at colonoial country club this year (he used a 2iron). decided to try to practice it and it is a pretty easy shot, if you want control just hit controlled finish low iron down the fairway. My other favorites are instead of hitting a 9 taking 8 and using a 3/4 swing. just making sure i hit the green having the confidence that i can two putt from 20 feet.
  4. sometimes can be fun to watch but the reason there on the big break and not the lpga is because they can't putt. it gets old when they replay the same challenge over and over because they chip it up to somewhere around 10 feet and can never make the putt. so they continue replaying the challenge until someone finally chips it to within "gimmie" range and makes a for sure two and watches the others miss there ten footers yet again! Also andrew magee is much better than that tool they had on the bb mesquite. On the approach I hate that alex micelli (sp) guy, all he knows are stupid stats he probably doesn't even play golf and when he does couldn't break 110. Andrew just laughs at all those stupid stats alex throws out there because when you are inside the ropes it is a whole different game specifically mentally, a game which andrew knows and alex couldn't even fathom
  5. mizuno without a doubt. better feel and the mp32's are the best iron ever!
  6. scotty cameron 2.5 about 4 years old but still love it
  7. go to a local driving range that has demo clubs and demo both irons, then whichever ones you hit better or like the feel of buy those. but definitely dont just go out and buy some irons without hitting them first.
  8. eighteenth hole par 5-532yds. 3i from 235 to three feet, made the eagle.
