  1. There's probably already a thread for this but....Are there any clubs (used/new) that anyone would recommend for someone who isn't the best golfer in the world. Thanks!
  2. Driver- R9 Supertri 5 wood- R7 Draw 5-PW- Adams Insight Forged 52*- Callaway Forged 56*- Tom Watson Classic 60*- CG12 Putter- Nickent Omen tour
  3. I hit my irons and woods fairly clean and accurately but I produce a huge slice when hitting my driver. I've had a few lessons but I still can't consistently hit my driver in the fairway. Could this club be a permanent replacement for driver for my game?
  4. There is probably a thread already on this topic but I'll go ahead and post this anyways. Currently I hit my irons and hybrids solidly along with hitting my 3 wood. My problem with golf right now is that when I hit my driver I produce a huge banana slice that, when in play, is about 150-175 from the tee and in the deep right rough. Usually I can hit my 3 wood close if not in the fairway and I can get 175-200 depending on course conditions. Does anyone else primarily hit 3 wood instead of driver from the tee? My 3 wood is a Mizuno F-50 with a REG flex shaft and my driver is a RBZ with a REG flex shaft as well.
  5. Currently in my bag: RBZ 10.5 driver R7 draw 19* 5 wood 910 H 21* hybrid 5-p wedge adams idea forged 52,56,60 rossa daytona 1 cgb i have a mizuno f 50 3 wood. should i use that instead of my 5 wood? i maybe hit my R7 5 yards farther than my hybrid.
  6. Has anyone ever heard of the Adams Insight XTD 2 irons? They are quite easy to hit for someone new to golf, heck im a 14 HC and I still use them. Anyway, if you can find them I'm sure they would be cheap because they were around 299 back in '10 new.
  7. I still have them in my bag and was wondering if other SandTrap members did
  8. Hands forward really helped me to stop slicing and chunking my shots
  9. LOL I forgot to mention that i have 4-5 clubs that will never get used again just sitting in my garage....as for my putter goes I have two higher quality putters that I would consider using and my very first putter that I'll always keep
  10. Driver loft is 9.5, flex is a 65g Regular, no clue on the club head speed
  11. So what would be your final decision on a club between my driver and 19* hybrid?
  12. Prior to Christmas I had a Driver, 25* fairway wood, 3i-PW, 52*, 56*. Since Christmas I have got a Callaway X-Hot 19* hybrid and a 60* wedge. Currently in my bag I have Driver, 25* fairway wood, 19* hybrid, 4i-PW, 52*, 56*, 60*. I have an older Mizuno 3 wood that I could use instead of the 25* fairway wood( which I think is a 9 wood). What club should I use between my driver and 19* hybrid? Thanks for all responses.
  13. haha initially i regretted buying a second putter but after reading the responses and using the putter enough to find out that i like it more than my original gamer i no longer regret this purchase. thanks guys!
  14. ....this is scary because i also bought a 60 wedge
  15. Those titleist should do the job well
  16. I'm with tmac....go with the titleist. They will teach you how to make better ball contact and they are a more trusted brand
  17. So today i was in a used sporting goods store and found a taylormade rossa daytona 1 in prime condition with a super stroke 1 in grip on it....problem is i have a brand new nickent omen tour series 2 putter. Regardless i couldn't pass up this deal for the rossa ( it was 30 dollars) and went ahead and bought it. My question is does anyone else out there have a backup putter which my nickent is now going to be? LOL please help me to feel better about my purchase
  18. thanks for the reply, i could probably sell off my old clubs to get my budget up....i might go check my local sporting goods store to see what kind of deals they have on used irons and they also take trade ins so that might help out my budget dilemma
  19. yes, its just that the ball flight is very high with my current irons and i think the irons are a little strong in lofts...that being said i don't want to lose all forgiveness so a forged iron with a little bit of a cavity would be ideal
  20. You could always go with the GolfSmith version of the GP mulitcompound
  21. I'm looking for a forged irons set for around or under 100 $. I realize this is a major budget but I'm not picky. I think I've gotten better at ball striking and want to shape the ball more than my current GI irons allow. Thanks for any responses to this thread and hopefully I can find some irons!
