2. Hi Guys, I have seen a few very interesting posts about GameGolf; reviews, the rounds posted by members etc. It looks like a great product. I would love to hear how you have taken that data to improve your game? Has this opened your eyes to weaknesses that weren't glaringly obvious beforehand? It seems like it has potential to provide a lot more stats with the data it captures so maybe the analysis side will improve in the future, I think it would be cool if the software automatically pointed you to your biggest weakness and maybe tailored a plan for improvement based on your personal stats. Thanks
3. @Lihu This looks like the hole in your avatar!
4. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense now that I think about my downswing movements. I feel at the moment like I need to move my whole body forward towards target to get weight over. That second video really emphasises that mistake. Hopefully get a video face on to see my current movements and work on it from there. Thanks for the feedback.
5. Not at the moment. I'll try and get on the grass section of the range this weekend and take some (if the northern Irish weather permits!)
6. Thanks for the heads up. I was using my kindle and only saw a URL icon.
7. I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year My current handicap index or average score is: 16.9 based on weekly competitions (based in northern Ireland) My typical ball flight is: fade The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hitting fat/duff and occasional slice. Poor with longer irons Just want to improve contact. Spend too much time practicing different tips on the range but would like to concentrate on something specific. Appreciate any suggestions/criticism! [rule] Videos:
8. Hi all, I have just joined a 9 hole club for the first time and I am interested in steadily lowering my handicap (hopefully). Unfortunately, the weekend competitions that I understood would be starting at the beginning of April have not begun, (primarily due to lack of members I think). I haven't worried about it too much so far as I had been playing the rounds necessary to obtain my initial GUI handicap, but I now find myself arriving at the course on Saturday morning with another few members and there are still no competitions being held. From my understanding, we need to be competing to submit cards for handicap purposes under the CONGU rules. I would like to know if our group of 4 members can be considered as playing "in competition", if we inform the club owners that we are doing so and ask them to therefore submit our cards, or is there an official way that the club has to setup the competitions that makes this more complex? Thanks for any replies!
9. That's an impressive putting statistic! Now that you have started tracking this a bit more, can you expand this a little. How many up and downs? How many pitches to within 10 feet? Did you have any 3-putts? Any chip ins? Considering you only hit 3 greens, I take it your short game is pretty good. I see there has been a lot of very constructive criticism about your full swing, which I think a lot of us would appreciate, but would you class your short game as consistent?
10. If you are playing Lahinch and Ballybunion, then I would certainly recommend Doonbeg in between. A friend used to caddy there and its a fantastic course, designed by greg norman, and very challenging. Be sure to get a pint in Tubridy's in the village afterwards! Assuming you are driving, then you can take the Kilrush ferry between Killimer and Tarbert to save you going through Limerick city when you are travelling between Co. Clare and Co. Kerry. The coast roads have some fantastic views and a visit the cliffs of Moher is a must! Enjoy!
