I shot a 39. +3 Played pretty solid hit my irons so smoothly. If i keep playing like i've been playing lately i can see my handicap taking a bit of a drop

So ive been struggling with long irons lately and i thought id upload a vid of my swing so i could get some input from you guys. Any comments are appreciated. Here is a 5 iron and driver down the line:

37 +1 today with a triple bogey on the last cause i hooked my ball into a hazard and couldnt find it. I went to the range yesterday and i think i found the problem in my swing that was causing me to not make good contact with my irons. I hit them pure today

Since your a 20 handicapper i think the blades would be really hard for you to hit. As far as i no blades are for the golfer who is down to low single handicap and is a good ballstriker. I think you should go for more game improvement irons until you get your handicap down and you become more confident in your ballstriking

1. Get my handicap to 5. 2. Hit more GIR. Currently its at 38.88%. Like to get it in the high 40's 3. Improve ball striking with irons 4. Be more consistent. I can shoot even par easy then next 9 ill shoot 6 or 7 over

Just played 9 holes. Shot an even par 36. i was -2 after 7 then finished bogey bogey. could have been so good

Played yesterday in a stableford competition. Played very well shot a 77, 40 points and won my grade. Funny thing was i got beaten by a 87 yr old guy who plays off 28 lol

I dont really like playing with high handicappers. Basically anyone with a handicap over 30 im not really to keen on playing with. It seems anyone with that sort of handicap just gets too frustrated with themselves and it annoys the hell out of me when them smashing there club on the ground or swearing profusly. The last time i played with a high handicapper, +33, we were playing the 15th and he went into the greenside bunker for four and took 13 shots to get out. Swore at himself about 20 times and then threw his lob wedge about 20 meters. Ended up with a 19 on the hole lol

haha the course is a par 70, 34 front, 36 back

Well ive been playing terrible golf lately. Havent been able to break 80 in a few weeks, one month ago i was shooting regular mid to high 70's. So anyway went out today determined to play well. Started double double. Not the greatest. Then bogey a pretty easy par 4. Then something happened and i went par, eagle, birdie. Best 3 holes of my life then went on and doubled the 7th and then finished bogey, birdie lol. Finished with a 38. Probably the most inconsistant 38 of my life.

burnt. so he..

Im in the same boat as you at the moment. About a month ago i was shooting 75-78 now i cant break 80. Its frustrating the hell outta me. But i've just been trying to work really hard on my chipping so i can put it close to eliminate double bogeys and im starting to get back to normal golf

Why do you change your driver?
mrgilmore replied to titaniummd's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I just bought a Burner cause i wanted a driver that had more loft than my old driver and it was getting old and i want to stay with the new technology -
Thats what i want to achieve aswell better ball flight. Personally for me i liked the feel of the G10 the best. Probably leaning towards that one. Now i just got to decide what shaft...
-
Yeah i hit them today aswell but they were all 10 deg loft and on the moniter it was saying i was hitting them low aswell then i tried just a crappy driver with a 13 degree loft and it said i was hitting it much higher. They all felt good to me
-
My current driver is a 10.5 degree loft and i find that i hit the ball lower than everyone else resulting in not as much carry. I've found a few drivers on Ebay, a Ping G10 13.5 degree, TM Burner 13 degree and a TM Superquad 12 degree. If i get a driver with more loft will that help me get the carry or will i just hit it higher but the same distance?

Melbourne, Frankston. Greensborough, thats like an hour away from here isnt it?

I agree. Where abouts in vic are you?

Ok so i went to the golf store today to get clubfitted for a new driver. I tried 5 different drivers, Titliest 907(think that was what it was), King Cobra LV4, Ping G10, Ping Rapture and a Taylormade CGB Max. So the drivers were all good, probably leaning towards the King Cobra but the thing is on every one my launch angle was between 5 and 10 degrees. The guy said in the shop that it should be up towards 13. Long story short i have to make my swing alot steeper apparently. The thing is as soon as i start to try and steepen my swing i develop a massive pull slice. I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to help me hit it straighter once i steepen it? I know u need a video but i dont have a camera lol. If it helps my swing speed is about 85 - 93ish.
