  1. In baseball, pitchers use a rosin bag. Has anyone ever tried that for golf?
  2. In your "quick game" you say that you are taking drops instead of looking for the ball. Admirable in terms of pace of place on a crowded course but how do you include those in the scores you post as part of your handicap?
  3. PGA TOur partners holds tournaments on the tpc courses. They hold one at Southwinds in Memphis which might work for you. THis year the fee was $228. Just another idea.
  4. I was at the McDonald's LPGA and got to talk with the sky caddie lady. Her job was after each hit was to run out where the balls landed and radio in the distance hit and distance to the green. then it was relayed to the booth and the roving reporter following the group She had to adjust for the pin placement manually before calling it in. On some holes she had to do a lot of running across the fairway to measure all 3 shots. After the players hit their approach shots then she quickly ran ahead to the next fairway to be ready. I would guess on BB someone went out and did the measurements and the tv hosts just had sky caddies in their hands to help plug the product
  5. I did it once on a business trip where i was making 3 stops but only play golf in stop 1 and 3. I had the clubs shipped from the hotel in city 1 (after playing) to city 3. Worked great but it can be expensive if you want them to arrive quickly. I had several days in between 1 and 3 so i chose the slower delivery time. THis was before the airlines imposed all the baggage fees so it is probably much more cost effective and less of a hassle. I used Sports Express http://www.sportsexpress.com/ Hope that helps
  6. LGP I'm a definite! Just let me know what time.
  7. MC thanks for the info. That sounds great maybe we can set something up after the Rock Manor event.
  8. Is Edgemont a private course/club? I would not worry much about the handicap difference
  9. I am there dude I was just starting to play when they shut it down for the renovation and have not been there since it opened in May. I heard it is pretty good. Rates drop at 1pm and tee times can be made 8 days in advance. So if we want to do this we should get the tee time this saturday because i bet those 1-2pm might fill up quickly. Let me know
  10. definitely depending on the location
  11. Did you move to Delaware yet? New to this board but from DE. There are some decent courses here as well as some run of the mill muni's. As mentioned you are also close to PA, MD and NJ which has a lot of good course. Let me know if you need more specifics.
  12. I was disappointed to see Titleist drop the DT Solo brand. I thought it was a great ball in the price category. ProV's are the best but too pricey for every day to me
  13. I have 2 a 19 degree and a 22 degree. Sometimes I only take one in the bag depending on where I am playing.
  14. New Member here from DE. I might be able to join next weekend depending on the location and you can handle a high90/low 100 I noticed this thread started with someone looking for course near philly but some of the suggestions really stretched far from Philly (i.e. Wyncote). If so there are some decent courses in No Delaware. If anyone is down this way on a weekend give me a shout.
