  1. You've never seen Tommy "Two Gloves" from Big Break?
  2. That's a big investment for a new player, you might hold off dropping big bucks until you get a little better and decide if you like the sport or not. If you go to Golfsmith you can pick up a starter set (I recommend the Ram set) and have the clubs fitted, all for under $200.
  3. That guy hit his putter longer than most people can hit a driver, amazing! I thought for sure that thing was going to shatter on impact. Probably because they suck at strategy or determining which hole was the toughest. When they picked a par 3 for Jay and Peach I said "here comes another birdie, lol".
  4. I'm pretty much the same way, I will use any free time I have to go hit the range during the week or the course on the weekends. I'm not even very good yet, I hate to think how obssessed I will be when I can actually hit the ball well.
  5. I never said they were brand new, just that they were Pro V-1s. They were in very good condition, nothing wrong with them.
  6. Check again: http://www.lostgolfballs.com/Titleis.../category_id/1
  7. Yes, the Pro V1's were AAA and the Nikes' were AAAA.
  8. I got a dozen of used Nike Soft Cores for $6.99 and a dozen of used Pro-V1's for $9.99 from lostgolfballs.com, and they were in very good condition.
  9. Congrats on your first round, I'm right there with you having played my 3rd round over the weekend. My first round I shot a 50 (par 33 9 hole course), but didn't really feel like I was playng golf as all of my shots were really low and my ball basically bounced to the green on every shot. This was very frustrating because at the driving range I can hit nice high straight shots. My second round was a bit better, got more shots airbourne, but still low, but my score was better, shot a 48. This week was my worst yet, every shot was low again, and despite improving on my short game (only 3 putted twice, got up and down twice), I shot a 52. I plan on getting with my instructor to see what's causing these low shots so I can fix them when they happen again in the future. My guess is it's nerves, when I'm at the range it's very low stress since I know if I mess up I have 100 other balls to hit, when you're out there on the course you have one shot to hit it right, that added pressure can lead to some bad shots if you don't have a consistant swing grooved.
  10. Around a dozen. I keep playing until I run out of holes or balls, whichever comes first. ;)
  11. I think I could take him in Wii Sports.
  12. I guess I'm lucky then, my range always has plenty of fresh fairway grass to hit off of, they keep it up pretty well at my course.
  13. First time I hear of that, I'll give it a try, thanks.
  14. I will warm up by hitting some pitches with my LW and SW, then will move to half shots and then full shots with each club starting with PW and working my way up to my Driver. After that I play a imaginary round with the clubs I would hit during one of my rounds to get used to switching between clubs, my hope is this will help me take my range practice to the golf course.
  15. Thanks, I informed them of the bug.
  16. Thanks for the info, you answered both my questions. EDIT: Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but there seems to be a bug when printing scorecards, it doesn't show the "\ /" for fairways or the circles for U and S for "up and down" and "sand saves".
  17. The 2 handicapper wins, I'm going to try focusing on the back of the ball for all of my shots to see if I get better ball striking.
  18. Another question I have is does this program support 9 hole courses? It seems to count the back nine as all pars if I set the par and score to 0, there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the back 9.
  19. I'm surprised that some people don't focus on the ball at all. I tend to mishit the ball if I don't focus on it. This could also be causing me to become too ball bound and not focused on making a good full swing through the ball. I just don't think I would feel comfortable not looking at the ball though.
  20. So if you guys don't look at the ball, where are you looking when you swing?
  21. How is knowing what club to hit unnecessary information? Seems pretty important to me. Where can I find this manual you speak of?
  22. I'm playing around with the demo version and it's very nice, just one question, is there a way to note what club you used for each shot? This would be beneficial in determining if your club selection is correct/optimal for each hole. EDIT: Also, what does US mean next to "Up and Down" and "Sand Saves"?

    Age

I'm 32 and have been playing for around 1 year.
  24. I've had it since it's release, great game! XBL GT: MaddoggWii60
  25. It was an online sale, kind of hard to try it out when buying online. So are you guys saying it's not possible to adjust the lie angle on a club?
