  1. right now, a whole lot of things
  2. I guess for now don't even bring your 6i to the course. Just practice with it, you can take a little off your swing with a 5i and land the ball in the same area.
  3. I'm trying to get a little more control of my club. I make in a good amount of my putts and I'm happy with that, but I'd just like to control the club some more.
  4. thanks for the quick reply, I'll have to check that out.
  5. Hey guys, Putting is one of my strong points, but I was just curious if my grip was right. I was going to go by the if it aint broke dont fix it quote, but I just wanted some critique. Btw I use my fingers mostly, and don't break my wrists because I heard that from somewhere, is that true?
  6. For some reason with my driver the less I take the club back the further I hit it. I can take the club back like a wedge and hit it further than a full back swing. I guess it's specifically the person who's using it. I'm going to get a lesson with my woods soon though, because I really need to be more consistent.
  7. You still have some growth left at 20, and the 16 year old will most likely soon be reaching a testosterone heaven. I can't say anything because it depends on a ton of factors one of them being what I said about the test levels, a person who is 16 will put on more lbs of muscle than someone who starts at 20(without anabolics to help) I really hate articles like this especially since he hasn't personally worked with tiger. This is all just speculation, my guess is as good as the next guys.
  8. I don't really buy it. So hes saying an endomorph(higher bodyfat) a mesomorph(muscular) and an ectomorph(thin) all have different knee structures? It seems to me that some doctors are on a "weight training" witch hunt. The body as far as I know can adapt to a hell of a lot of things. I think gaining 10-20 lbs of muscle over a reasonable amount of time and if you stay flexible, can't hurt.
  9. I just started golfing, but I've been playing baseball for quite a number of years and this situation sounds really firmiliar. Two seasons ago I was batting .531 with 9 hrs, and I won player of the year. Last season I batted in the low to mid 200's, with two home runs. Every time I came up to the plate I tried something new, and failed. It would eat away at me day and night. After the first half of the season was done my coach handed me a book called The Mental Game of Baseball. Now my BA is well into the 300's and I have 6 hr's with like 19 games left. It talked about just letting go, and letting your hours of preparation kick in. The cliff notes from this story are, just let your ability come through. You practice for a reason. Good luck.
  10. I think I try to crush is sometimes. I think I get excited with the driver, because I've always been the power guy on teams like number 4 hitter etc. By the way with the hybrids I try to keep the ball in the middle, but do you think I should move it up to promote the ball going into the air more?
  11. I'm 14 and I do construction/carpeting for my uncles company, but you my friend have my dream job
  12. I set up my driver a little inside of my left foot, and I keep my hybrids somewhere in the middle. I'll pay more attention to that next time. I'm going to try to get a video up so we can see what I'm doing wrong exactly. Thanks for the quick replies!
  13. I hit a lot of them off to the right. My problem is im either dead on or dead off, I'd like to be a little more consistent with the driver.
  14. Thanks. Also I think on my back swing I turn myself too much, can that also be a problem?
  15. Hey guys, I hear that this is a pretty common problem in beginners. For some reason I can't hit my hybrids or driver like my irons. I'm better with a 4 iron rather than a hybrid. I don't understand why, because I always hear people raving about how much easier it is to hit. I use a big bertha 460 9 degree with a stiff shaft. If I hit good with my irons at practice I'll hit bad with my woods, and vice versa. My hybrids have irons shafts, so I figured it can't be simply the graphite on my driver. I know it's impossible to tell whats wrong without a video, which I will try to get shorty, but from what I hear its pretty common and I'd just like to know some mistakes I could be making. Thanks guys
