  1. already does that, If I mind or not lol
  2. meant spread out the glue and rolled on carpet
  3. I used 96" White Pine 2"x4" Studs. $1.96 a stud, but went through 50 of them to find actual straight studs at Lowes. 1/2" 4'x8' chipboard. Talk with a lumber guy, Lowes will sell you a sheet with a chipped corner really cheap. 3" and 1 1/4" screws 12'x8' sheet of indoor/outdoor carpet. This was about $45 at Lowes. I know they make synthetic putting carpet, but I think the ball rolls really good on the carpet if you stretch it really good right after gluing down. You can see the weight plate marks I used for doing this. Tub of indoor/outdoor carpet glue, $15-$20 The cups I got off Doyle-Golf.com. That site was the cheapest for 4" (depth) practice cups I could find. No need for 6" deep course cups. $6 a piece. I built the green in two sections and then ran studs in those sections 1 foot from center apart. That way it was super stable and gave good support under the chip board. Drilled those two sections together, layed down the chipboard. Cut my holes, spread out the and rolled on the carpet and stretched and stretched and then anchored down with weights. Waited over night and then mad small cuts in the carpet where the holes were and only cut more if I could squeeze the cup in. Did this so it would hug the cup and not be loose. For me, the cups sit perfectly on the surface the green sits on. I bought some trim as well I will stain to make a border to stop the balls. Probably had $150 total??
  4. There are straight putts to every hole but a few lines have also 2-3" break putts going diagonal.
  5. Thanks, post up pics of yours when it is done, sounds like it will be impressive!
  6. Just built this for my 7 year old son to practice putting on (ok, me too :D ) while he's inside from the heat watching tv in our basement. Still going to put a rail of some sort up and paint the baseboards, but it works as of now. Roughly 12'x8'
  7. I just bought some Puma's and I love them over the nikes and footjoys i've had in the past.
  8. I didn't care for the 330RX. If it were me I'd hit the ProV1x or the NXT Tour. I seem to get more spin out of the Pro V and I'd rather just have it check on the green, reason I usually play the NXT Tour. Personal preference.
  9. What ball could you compare the PE's too? I hear it is the poor mans Pro V, which I play the V1's and V1x's along with NXT Tour's. Any reviews on the PE's would be appreciated.
  10. Thanks..I will check it out!
  11. I will be vacationing in Gatlinburg soon and have heard alot about the muni courses there. Has anyone played any of them? What was the best course to play, what did it cost..basic info about them would be great, thanks.! Sean
  12. Need some opinions out there...My son is 5, 48 inches tall and has outgrown his "old" lol, set. I am looking, because of the height measurements, at the TW nike black set and the Ping Moxie set, both classified for ages 8/9-11. Which set would you go with. When he uses these, he'll be tall enough for the height requirement, so I am needing some opinions on these two sets, thanks! Here is the setup on the nike set For ages 8-11 (height: 4 ft 3 in - 4 ft 10 in) Driver Hybrid #5 #7 #9 SW Putter 2-pack EZ-Distance golf balls Lightweight carry bag Here is the ping set The club lengths and weights are designed to fit junior golfers 4'3" - 4'11". Includes: Driver: 15 Degree Loft, 40 inches Fairway Wood: 40 Degree Loft, 37 inches Hybrid: 30 Degree Loft, 35 inches Iron: 7 iron, 33.5 inches; 9 iron, 32.5 inches; Sand Wedge, 32inches Putter: 3 Degree Loft, 30 inches bag included
  13. I usually play better,,,,especially on a bad one. I seem to not care or think about swing thoughts or any demons and strike it pure.
  14. GD, if your looking to sell and they are in good shape, let me know thx! I also found TW Black series for 9-11, 9 piece set. I am kinda leaning at that age group because he is tall for his age and probably won't use them til next year, this is a bday present in Aug.
  15. My son has been playing since he was two. Originally i had a pieced set of the nike red jr irons and us kids golf driver and hybrid. He is 5 going on 6 now and I would like to get him a nice matching set. I have looked at the Calloway XJ and Ping Moxie sets. I'll measure him tonight but I am thinking he is around 42-48" tall. Any other nice sets out there for jr.'s? Or a nice set that isn't Ping/Calloway money...which isn't a big deal, I just want to explore all options. Those that have bought the ping/calloway models listed, how did your kids like them? Thanks Sean
  16. GD sent me a flier $10 for a 3 year subscription, glad I did it, really dig the mag. Ebay sounds like the way to go though. Good Luck.
  17. aww,,did you not get picked for president of the Justin Timberlake fan club? wow
  18. But its ok for Sergio to scream, and try to intimidate Stricker and his upcoming putt, because that is what he was doing. Boo and Sergio both did some sort of gesture that wouldn't be done on a regular event. I guess if this was in Europe, Sergio screaming wouldn't get the crowd going over there? puhlease
  19. I just read the first page, so if this has been said,,sorry.. But Sergio screaming because he made a putt, right before Stricker putted is the same to me. I remember the European players hoopin and hollerin two years ago over there, hometeam plays to the crowd,,,way it is.
  20. Well generally I use the v1x and I played Tan-Tar-A this past week and I was getting the ball to spin or stop within a few feet of my divot, so I guess that is what I am wanting,,stopping spin and not rolling alot. I just didn't know how big a difference the v1 and v1x had. I agree, trial and error seems to be the ticket, thanks!
  21. Back 8 years ago I was fitted for a set and I would avg 97 for my swing speed with a 5 iron. I know my swing has gone down and my distances are about 10 yards shorter now compared to back then, however I am a better player now. I love playing the Pro V model...if I use a stiff shaft, should i play the v1 or v1x? Guess I want some help in using the correct ball. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated, thanks. Sean
  22. Usually between $30-60 a round, depends on the course.
