    What a finish!
  3. No I overlooked that. . insightful review, I think I'll look for a more sound alternative. Even so, I'd like to see some other's opinions as well.
  4. http://heavyputter.com/ Does anyone have any experience with one of these babies? For those who don't know, the premise behind this putter is its excessive weight and excellent balance. By being heavier, you would automatically use your bigger and more steady muscles; lending to a smoother, more consistent, stroke. The commercial has me near convinced because I'm not actually sure of what makes one putter better than another. They did a good job selling it.
  5. Thanks for your advice guys, I took it to the range tonight. I'm happy to say I implemented the delayed release in a good handful of shots successfully - it's a very nice feeling. As I was warming up, I noticed I was releasing my wrists as early as the middle of my downswing, so I am grasping this a bit more. http://www.vidiLife.com/index.cfm?f=...01-4208-8AFB-8 I have my first video feedback when I'm actually in front of a ball. As you mentioned Dave, my swing plane changes on the downswing. It looks like it's caused by my starting the downswing with a push of my upper body instead of a rotation of my hips - my head goes forward and my club along with it. What do you think? Furthermore: -I tend to close my stance -my alignment seems off a lot of the time -my backswing is much more shallow than in my other video And Eric I'll look into that program, thanks.
  6. I went golfing tonight and there was nothing but slices on my long irons and fades on my short ones. They were also quite weak. While reading on here I heard it mentioned iron shots shouldn't be too high, but mine are of course (maybe 2 of my houses or so stacked) and my shots do not stick very well. . . although hitting the green is a rarity. Your suggestions would be very helpful - below is a short video I took of my swing in my backyard. I am aiming pretty much straight ahead (a tad bit left) and I am swinging at a tee. I think I am holding a 5 iron. I would also like to know if this video is high enough in quality for the swing check. I was using my digital camera. Thanks edit: and no I don't wear sandals when I golf :p
  7. But can she cook?
  8. Yeah, I agree, and the silly previews hyped it up too. It seemed they had a commercial every five minutes to really stretch out those six rounds of pre-recorded golf. And where were the cat fights? I already saw the blonde girl shake her head around and say "she has a lot of fight in her" around a thousand times, not that it would count as entertaining if it were my first.
  9. That was good. I'll save this for when I have kids. My dad played Mozart for me in my crib; I'll take a different approach, a sort of accelerated maturation program you could say. I think our society is looking forward to it.
  10. For me I was either lifting up or taking the club back too fast - I lost the confidence in a slower, well tempo'd stroke.
  11. Here's a review on it: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/700/700983p1.html I'm thinking about picking it up as well.
  12. Hey bud, just thought I'd add some input. Oh, first off, the file size of your movie is unnecessarily large. Rapid Share made me wait an hour to download the second vid Anyway. . . I think you can develop a great swing but should definatly focus on a few areas which are limiting you at the moment. Notice the following: -you're tense at address -your stance may be a little narrow -it looks as though you're standing a little upright (tense) - you straighten out your right knee on the backswing -your wrists do not hinge properly at the top (tense?) It looks like your backswing has some mistakes which are atleast partly responsible for your lunging at the ball on attack (notice your head dropping like that?). -Dan
  13. Glove - three main blisters are seemingly inevitable without one, and my grip is supposedly fine. . . I can't seem to get a grip on this one. HA HA, get it?
  14. I'm a twenty year-old who fell in love with the game again after a three year break. Played my first round last week scoring a 103: 39 putts, 11% greens in reg., 11% fairways (but they are very narrow ), hit a ball directly INTO the ground on a pitch, and I think I lost distance off the tee (~ 270ish). Since then I have been working my main problems out at the range and by recording my swing and reviewing it. Big improvement, but I haven't had a chance to get out again due to weather and such. -the lines in the pic are there so I could see how much more upright my swing was after adjustments, although I'm not sure if I should bend over more for my height (6'3"), thoughts?
