  1. Pinemeadow make good wedges for $20-30 depending on what model. http://www.pinemeadowgolf.com/golf-c...nemeadow.wedge I have that wedge in 64* and plan on getting a 56* and a 60* to replace my 64*. http://www.pinemeadowgolf.com/golf-clubs/wedges/
  2. I agree with MI Rob.
  3. Yeah, I think I'm going to get the set of three. Thanks everyone.
  4. Yeah, that's why I thought about replacing it. I tried my cousins new sand wedge and thought that I might be losing some spin due to age. I might just get an Adams PVD wedge set, I found some for real cheap.
  5. Well, my sand wedge is from the 80s or 90s and was wondering if I should consider upgrading it. How do you tell when to replace your wedges? I wanted to a 55* sand wedge, does anyone make them? Zach

    Age

16 and I've been playing for less than a year.
  7. A '87 Chevy S-10 Blazer, 4WD, 2.8l Auto. I'm painting it next month and am replacing the bumpers, front driver fender, and giving the engine a tune-up. Hopefully it'll be done before I get my license.
  8. Globalgolf has a used section with Nike SQ drivers ranging from $130 to $60. I just got a Wilson Prostaff Prolaunch square driver for $40 free shipping on ebay. Also, the Orlimar Fury QB is a good square-headed driver that can be found for around $50.
  9. I play CS and TFC once in a while. I think my id name is Pigpen, its been a while.
  10. Anyone? I'll even go out of Niagara to play if the course is within 25 miles.
  11. Going up to New York this July and plan on playing some golf. What are some good public courses around Niagara Falls?
  12. St. Jude is one of the top 20 courses in Western PA. I've heard good things about Birdsfoot.
  13. No because you could easily cut your HC by half or more in 10 years, especially if you were a higher handicapper. Within 1 month I went from shooting 70's to 50's.
  14. I have both insert and milled putters. I like the feedback of my old milled blade, but I tend to find the hole better with a putter with an insert. I feel I can control the speed and line better with my insert putters. I have a Odyssey White Steel that is a steel milled insert surrounded by their white insert, and I like the feel of it a lot.
  15. Not sure I get what you're trying to say here. Also, I never was going to buy a new driver, I just wondered if you could get one with a steel shaft because I seem to have a nicer shot with a driver with a steel shaft. The only clubs I've ever had problems with slicing are clubs with graphite shafts. I've hit the same hybrid with both a steel and graphite shaft and the one with the steel shaft I was able to hit without a slice, but the one with the graphite sliced like crazy with the same swing and tempo. I've been reading Brian Manzella's articles on how to cure a slice, and the helped a little, and I've read so many other things on swing plane, grips, stances, etc.
  16. I'm a slicer. I always thought it was the weaker the shaft the more prone it was to cause a slice and vise versa? I wasn't planning on buying a driver, I just was wondering about things. The range around here sucks, you have a hill that is litterally 500 feet high that has a 45 degree incline, and you have to hit uphill from the bottom. The guy who offers lessons around here charges way to much for me, and I'm not going to ask my parents for the money. There is another range about 45 minutes away that offers lessons, but I don't get my license till September. Don't worry about coming off strong, I'd rather have someone tell me how it is than lie to me.
  17. Yes, and I thought about that. I wondered if I should get a graphite shaft with a heavier weight and a higher kick point.
  18. I've done this before with no results. No, I bought the Pinemeadow clubs from Dunhams.
  19. That's awesome! How much work is it to maintain one of those? I always wanted a backyard putting green, but I never had the money. Did you do it yourself?
  20. Tried that and it still didn't work. I've tried grip changes, stance changes, and other things. Nothing seems to work, except swinging at about 50mph, and having the ball go shorter than my PW.
  21. I have been struggling with choosing a graphite shaft, I've tried regular, stiff, x-stiff, and several different brands of each. I can't hit good with any of them. I know it has to do with my swing, but today when I took three of my old steel-shafted drivers to try out. I hit each of them impressivly better than any graphite shafted driver I've ever hit. The one that had a stiff shaft seemed to give me the best results (a 90's Dunlop 1 wood around 150cc). The other two had regular shafts but still hit decent. I was wondering if and where I could buy a good driver with a steel shaft? I already looked at Pinemeadow, Diamond Tour, and GigaGolf, and I found some good ones. I also wondered if I could get a name brand club like a Nike or Callaway with a steel-shaft? Zach
  22. Haha the first time I saw that on ebay I though a hacker or a computer was outbidding me, then I went to the FAQ's and found out that it's to hide other's identity. If you don't luck out with the putters, hit me up a pm.
  23. I occasionally use a Spalding Calamity Jane putter from the 30's.
  24. I would do that but mom would kill me if I put a golf ball through the side of the pool. So, I went out and bought two inflatable kiddie pools for about $20 and I filled one with water and started chipping into it. I'm going to use the other one as a portable sand trap to hit from it into the other pool and also just to practise my shots from sand traps.
  25. Congrats dude. My birthday was March 4, went in after school and got my permit. Skipped the next day to hit golf balls around (no courses open yet) and did some driving. I already had a truck, and I got around $350 cash and plan on getting a membership to a course and a new putter. Have fun with your new toys.
