It makes a great deal of difference where your golf course is and at which elevation it is. Also the type of grass. i.e. We punch our greens in may and september. Our weather is nice in May but cold in the evenings in September. we are over 5k ft in the mountains. In May we have nice evening and warm warm days it takes 2 weeks and we're up and running. In Spetember it is cold nights and medium warm days 5-6 weeks. We are trying slicing our greens this month instead of punching I know that will help...wish us luck.

You Tiger fans are brainwashed to thinking he's perfect in every way. My opinion is that his putting is the best and it covers up for lot's of mistakes.

Just a question if a golfer plays under the minimum required by the USGA in America what are the consequenses...anyone know.

I guess this is 2 answers 1. If tmoney is the big and best show for golfers to be the best I guess ViJay wins player of the year.( as long as he stands up for 4 rounds more)Tiger is not even close after the Fedex. All the major sports anouncers will tell you that Majors are the defining end to a golfers success and the lack of them means he is doomed to possibly be know as the best golfer never to win a Major. Padriag is the golfer of the year NO doubt. Unless the rules have changed.

I have heard the good and the bad on 5 somes but I did like the thought of all of them must have carts no walkers. We do sometimes use 5 somes now and if they fall behind the marshal warns them once and the second time asks them to pick up the balls and move ahead. this works usually.

I seem to remember a man who could barely walk after his car crash and leg operations in the middle of a huge rainstorm winning a major now that was huge compared to Tigers win. The man was Ben Hogan and he his winning after the horrific car crash was a miracle.

At my golf course we have an ongoing battle on whether and when should 5 somes be allowed to play on the course. Busy or not? I would like to get some thoughts on this issue

No kidding he should also have won the British 2007 lost it on his last hole ( i believe experience problem). Had a great British 2008 And today shot 5 under par at the toughest course this year. also he finished 8th in the MASTERS this year and he did win the PGA tournament in Zurich classic New Orleans in March on top of his win in europe. What did AK do. in any Major to impress you and the rest of the golf world. ???/

I definely agree No major for a few years at least untill he seatles his demons on the greens and smarts is suspect.

It will be a long time before he gets to that position if he ever does. There are much better young golfers who have not challenged to this day. Andres Romero is one such golfer way ahead of AK. So is Sergio AK has NT come close in amajor or the Players so what makes you this he will do it soon. His puttin along with his patience and smarts are definitely suspect. look at his play today on an easier course at the PGA
