Thank you all for the replies! Not gonna lie I've considered hitting a 4 iorn off the tee. To be honest it would be the smartest thing right now, but I not sure why I just feel uncomfortable doing so. Also, going up there with my friends and then me hitting an iorn is a little embarrassing! Dfreuter, thanks for the reply and encouragement! I truly love the game( I quit playing AAA baseball for golf) and I really care about golf. My club is closed due to renovation this year, and next year it is supposed to be the number 1 course in the state! I'm hoping this winter I can improve and go into next year starting fresh and strong! The coach is the high school golf coach, and two of the people he teaches were captins of varsity golf, and led the team to a state championship last year! So the results are there. What the plan this winter is- 1 hour and a half lesson a on a moniter and at least 2 hours of open practice in a moniter room. I had an evaluation there a week or two ago and he told me how we would change my swing and get me to my goals by the golf season! As for the game, I have done a similar game at a local par 30 course. Pick 2 iorns and a putter. Obviously it's easier at that course than a 6600 yd course, but it was fun! To "whatwouldtigerdo", up until very recently, my problem was pushing the ball. Nine out of ten times I would push slice it. Now, I try to over correct and not go right so I go left. If I go back to my old swing, I will be right most of the time. It's tough for me to get range time because my course is shut down so no range. I mostly only have the chance to hit balls before and after a round. I golf with my dad a lot which is very helpful because he is a great golfer (4 handicap) he gives me tips and things to work on. All in all, I think I just overthink things too much!!
