  2. I played 18 at Candlewood valley golf club in new Milford. I scored a 53 on the front 9 and a 54 on the back 9. My short irons really worked well for me today. I pared a couple of holes and double bogie a bunch. I have only been playing since March. I hope to become a par golfer at some point. My driver stopped working around hole 13. Lol I started to get hungry and it was getting dark.
  3. I purchase things online when they are cheaper and it's the same product. I have purchased from global golf and 2nd swing. Both have been great even with new items. Got my Nike vrsx clubs for a great price and my driver and 3 wood used and saved at least 50%.
  4. I Purchased a Nike Hybrid 3 +4 from global golf last week.
  5. I have my driver on the neutral loft. But it's adjustable and probably depends on your type of swing. I hit more line drives with my normal swing. I could probably adjust the loft at some point. Dicks has a sale on the tour 2.0 for $199.99. If you don't want to spend that kind of money check global golf.
  6. I shot a 113 at crestbrook in Watertown CT today. We played the course backwards and i struggled on the back 9 and did better on the front 9. I hit my 5 iron well and wedges pretty well. I struggle on the Par 3's because i have to hit an iron off the tee. I think i might start hitting half swings with the 3 wood. I need practice hitting irons off the tee.
  7. I use the Nike VRS x Irons and the Covert 1.0 driver, 3 wood, 3hybrid (tour version), And 4hybrid (tour version). I though about buying the 2.0 driver and demoed it at dicks. I saw no difference in contact or distance so i didnt buy it. I just got my hybrids but im super excited to hit them I actually purchased them from @GlobalGolf they are the first place i look before buying any clubs.
  8. Golf tees, nike golf shirt on sale, and a nike microfiber cloth.
  9. Yeah I'm really looking to cultivate and tweak my swing in order to be more consistent. 1. Get the correct arc and comfortable swing. 2.Hitting my irons with down force instead of sweeping in order to get ball flight I'm thinking about getting a pack of 3 lessons at GG. I wish it was closer though.
  10. I'm in new milford which is in litchfield county. It's more like 1.5 hours my issue would be having the time. With teaching, 2 kids, and coaching basketball for middle and high school I was looking for someone or something near my home or school. Maybe I can do the 5 keys system next summer that would be a nice end of school year gift to myself. Lol
  11. Thanks for the reply. According to the map the only instructor near me is Located in NYC. As far as the other system I'm a hands in learner. It's why I could only take certain classes online while in college. Something about having a teacher in front of you and being able to ask what pops in my head. Any other suggestions?
  12. So I went to golf galaxy to see about getting my nike vrs x iron set fitted for length and lie. The guys were pretty friendly and let me warm up in the bay with my 7 iron. They used the lie board and test were I was striking the ball etc. 49.98 later they determined the clubs are fine it's my swing. lol so I guess it's time for lesson. Would you recommend golf galaxy or a local driving range like quest out here in Brookfield that have PGA pros?
  13. So I am a sneaker head I own over a 100 pairs of sneakers and they have their own closet in our 4th bedroom. My wife has put limits on me now so I sold 2 pair and purchased the nike vrs covert tour hybrid 3 & 4. I'm excited! I didn't get the 2.0 tour because I didn't have enough. Lol I plan on getting my whole bag fitted for length and lie once they come in. I'm hoping this helps my accuracy. I strike the ball consistently and my swing needs tweaking but it's basically there. Anyone else swing nike clubs? Or just your experience with the hybrid 3 and 4? My bag will consist of driver, 3w hy3,4, iron 5-sw, and lob wedge 60 degree.
  14. I'm thinking about doing this for my driveway someone want to come help? Lol
  15. Only if you can come over and help me build one! Lol I'm not the most handy person.
  16. Thanks for the videos I think I want to buy a practice net for the house. We have about 1.2 acres so why not make use of the land. Lol
  17. Watched both videos. #1 was a pretty easy fix and made sense once I watched it. #2 is really hard to duplicate #3 my feet was an easy fix The pivots point without my feet moving is very tough. I think I need lessons to fix it I'm a very feedback in the moment oriented person. An hour with 100 golf balls is probably what I need. I will be practicing in the yard though. Lol I do think a fitting will help with ball flight
  18. You are correct i didn't click the video tool smh. thank you for fixng it.
  19. I have a nike 60 degree loft wedge and I love it when I hit it well. Lol I hit my driver and 3 wood the best followed by my 7 iron and loft wedge. But back to why I like the 60 degree. I often find my self 40 - 50 yards from the pin and I don't pitch with any accuracy I often over shoot or severely under shoot the pin.
  20. Not sure why the embed wont work i followed the direction
  21. I've been Playing Golf for: 4 months My current handicap index or average score is: HC index is 9.5 or average score is 50 I play 9 holes mostly. I shot a 48 at the orchard in milford ct and the lowest i shot is a 44 at the same course. Par is 32 at this particular course mostly par 3's and 4's. My typical ball flight is: depends i am starting to get it higher The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: My irons are the most inconsistent for me. My driver and 3 wood are great off the tee. I think getting fitted and changing the lie on the club head will help me with ball flight. i compared it to my coworkers today who got fitted and can tell the difference. I had a guy who gives golf lessons also tell me fitting changes a lot. Im not very flexible and my swing feels stiff. its like im not comfortable. Thanks for any feedback or help. Videos:
  22. Very helpful now I want my coworker to tape my swing for me tomorrow when we play. Lol I was sliding my hips at first. Then I started to flex my front knee but dipping and it was causing my to top the ball. I think I get what I'm suppose to do now. I'm going to head to the course tomorrow early and practice my swing and see how well it works.
  23. Yeah the irons was a Father's Day gift. I like them a lot and want to stick with nike. Yeah I'm going to let quest golf shop do the fitting. They fitted my putter which made a big difference. Probably do my driver and 3 wood first then the irons.
  24. @Club Rat I own a brand new nike set already I was looking to get those fitted to me or adjust. I think I may put it off till Xmas after I take a lesson or feel more consistent in my swing.
  25. I started this year at 34. My dad had been trying to get me to play for years but I just wasn't interested. He finally convinced me and I fell in love mostly because it gives me a chance to bond with my dad and I'm such a competitor and want to win. Lol
