  1. While I agree with Mr. Wedge's holistic approach, I also like Bobby Clampett's "Impact Zone" concept, so below is your impact position: Feel free give my comments whatever weight you think they deserve. 1) I can see improvement in weight transfer and hip movement from the other video, but I think the hips could still be more open by this point. 2) I agree with earlier comment that you have thrown the club early and need to have hands leading more at impact. 3) I would work on your footwork. You are getting up on your right toe too early and I'm of the thought that the heel should be low to the ground leading back foot at impact. You have the makings of a very pretty swing, keep working on it!
  2. I don't think the only way to incite a crowd is to wave your arms up for cheers after a made putt. That said, I've never seen a European player do that, and Boo had to have known it would come off poorly. Still, in 2004 Sergio complained about Chris Dimarco's fist pumping and according to Jay Haas, had the nerve to tell Chris to "calm down a little" in the middle of their match. The complaining is getting tiresome. Both sides need to just play a cut each other some slack.
  3. +1 It really is that simple.
  4. I think the Presidents Cup. should just adopt Ryder Cup rules. Why this country has such an aversion to ties (eg. NHL) and insisting every sport adopt a playoff system (eg. Golf & Nascar) is beyond me. That said, I couldn't be more excited for Harding Park to be on display again. Jack and Gary were great but Couples and Norman will infuse some new life to the event. I have a feeling the World players are going to finally live up their potential next year and we better be ready! Given that it's on the West Coast, TV times in East should permit early start to singles matches, so hopefully darkness won't be an issue. I still think its a terrible idea to eliminate half points in singles, I hadn't read that.
  5. I love Judy Rankin and Dottie Pepper, but I'd like to take a 2 iron to that Jimmy Roberts guy.

    Ian Poulter

I don't want to know what Monty's tees said!
  7. Ah, thanks! I guess I should have looked around more online first...well hopefully the good people at Medicus will get them to me quickly.
  8. I just ordered the dvd's. Can someone tell me if they send all 4 at once or string them out with the payments? ...either way I'd rather be able to just pay $100 a golf shop. The whole $19, 30-day "risk free" installment business just makes it seem like infomercial hyped garbage. I want to get stacked not shafted!

    Ian Poulter

Boo is absolutely unprofessional IMO, but actually Poulter was referring to Anthony Kim after he accidentally bumped into I.P. Saturday afternoon. Kim shouldn't have been anywhere near the players, granted, but why run to the press with such trivial matters? Mr. Eagle, If the matches had a better spirit to them it might have been appreciated, but with both sides so hyper-sensitive and the Europeans constantly pointing out classless American behavior it becomes hard to justify. The question remains, would Poulter appreciate the "unique humor" if Anthony Kim handed out similar tees next week? I guess Tiger is a good heckler ;) I realize my post did not address the topic...Poulter strikes me as the type of guy who will come up big in Ryder Cups, even if his individual career doesn't go to the next level. He doesn't lack confidence so I don't see this Cup performance adding much more.

    Ian Poulter

After the 2004 Ryder Cup in which Ian Poulter contributed one point to the 18.5 to 9.5 Europe victory, he showed up at the following weeks WGC event (despite the fact that he hadn't qualified for the field) just to distribute custom tees he had made: extra long tees reading "Europe 18.5" and extra short ones reading "USA 9.5". Needless to say American wounds were still raw. I wonder how he would feel if an American player handed him some "special" tees next week. He played fantastic, but as far as him calling out American players as "unprofessional", that's a stretch.
  11. To be honest, I find Weekley and Westwood equally annoying, both talk too much. I also find the Euro soccer style singing just as obnoxious as the so called Kentucky fan "antics". Honestly, while I'm very happy that both teams finally played well and the US prevailed, I still think the spirit of the Ryder Cup is way off. I'm hopeful for Wales 2010 though.
  12. Yes, it's a great show. But what about Academy Live? How could this show get cancelled? This show was THE CORE of the network...I don't like big break, daly and gulbis shows and junk like that. I mostly now just turn in for the PGA early rounds and European Tour.
  13. Golf Digest is still a great magazine but there are SO many instructors segments that I think its lost some cohesion...you could really tie your swing in knots if you tried to follow all of them. GOLF is going away from its classic drawings and becoming the same way... I like LINKS best, my only complaint is that its not monthy.
  14. Anyone know what services (if any) Wrx has for putters? Nothing is stated on the website. I'm specifically thinking of my BeNi Scottsdale Anser, which I'd like to be reshafted, new grip, sightline added, maybe add loft too. I'd also like one those Wrx putter covers. Anyway, if you've had any experience with this, I'd be interested. Thanks.
