  1. i would say a 3 or a 4. I only hold the club hard enough to not let it fall out of my hands on the swing.
  2. right now, all my clubs are new callaway clubs. I am still using the stock grips. I hope i dont have to regrip them all
  3. Thats probably a good idea. I'll have to pic a couple up.
  4. Hey guys, as the title suggests, my hands are constantly sore when i first pick up a club for the day. It usually takes about 10 - 15 practice drives to get my hands warmed up to where they are playable. Even when i don't have a club in my hands they still seem a little weak. What do you guys suggest? P.S. My grip is pretty light, so, its not from gripping the club too hard.
  5. Today was an extraordinary day of golf for me. I just started golfing maybe 3 months ago, and have hit the greens hardcore. Normally I manage to get myself to right around 100 on 18 holes. This includes my usual 3 or 4 mulligans that I take for when my drive slices like their is no tomorrow (in the spirit of speeding up the game). Lately I have been working on my drive. I have weakened my swing in order to preserve straightness and accuracy. Well today I made a pact with myself that I would count everything, NO MATTER how bad it was. I only had time for 9 holes so I played the front nine at one of my local courses. This was my amazing game: Hole 1 par 5 - got it to the green in 3 missed the eight foot put for a birdie, but still parred Hole 2 par 4 - severely mis-struck the ball upon driving and the bullited on the ground maybe 75 yards ahead to the left side but still in play. I required 2 more shots to get to the green where i landed about 30 feet from the hole. 3 putted the hole for a double bogey. Hole 3 par 4 - made it to the green in 2, made the 7 foot put for a birdie :) hole 4 par 3 - hit the green but bounced to the frog hair. since the hole is severely down hill from where I was, i used my sand wedge at an attempt to create back spin and land as close to the pin as possible. If I putted i would way over shot the hole and off the green if i didn't hole it. unfortunately the ball didnt go very far but also remained close to where it landed. Luckily i made the very lucky 20 foot putt for par :) Hole 5 short par 4 uphill - Tried to use a little more juice on the drive and faded the ball into the trees to the right but luckily it bounced off a tree and landed in play. Used my 3 hybrid and landed about 12 feet from the hole. Just missed the the putt but still made par Hole 6 long par 4 - ouch. this hole was killer for me. I got it close after 2 strokes but mistruck the ball 2 times with my sand wedge before i got under it enought to put it on the green with my 3rd attempt. just missed the downhill 10 foot but but made the second putt. A very annoying 3 over par. Hole 7 par 3 - made it on the green in 2 and 2 putted for a bogey Hole 8 par 5 - decent drive, mistruck the ball with my 3 wood, made it on in 3 more shots and then 2 putted for double bogey Hole 9 par 3 - made par ending score = 42 on a 35 par 9 holes. Needless to say, i was very happy with myself, even if it was a fluke round. I wish i had time for another 9 holes.
  6. someone was drinking way too much hatoraid... Seriously, Did JT sleep with your girlfriend or something? I found that to be an excellent article. I was very pleased with what JT is doing for the game.
  7. golfed an even 100 yesterday. So far, that was my best game. Ive only been playing for a little over 2 months now. Im obsessed though. Hoping to match or beat it today. Adam
  8. Im fairly new to the game. I usually carry the ball about 210-220. My furthest drive to day was about 270 included bounce and roll.
  9. This is my first post. I agree with this post. I have been playing golf for only a couple months now, and I am completely hooked. I find that being a beginner, I misstrike the ball quite a bit. Rather than playing from a misstruck ball, I find it better (for learning's sake) to drop a new ball and take another shot. If playing with multiple people, I also find it good to play a captain and crew type game on holes if I feel like I am going to hold up other golfers. My main goal when going out and shooting a round of golf is to just have fun while pissing off as few of people as possible. Adam
