How is this post helpful, respectful, or intelligent? Who or what are you referring to?

If we are still talking about controlling the wealth, then NO, it should not be in the hands a few hundred politicians. Theoretically, the elected should represent the interest of their constituents, but does that ever happen? It's impossible to represent the interests of everyone, so maybe the elected should not represent the interest of any. Instead the politicians end up doing what they think is best for people affiliated with the party that elected them. People are self-governing. That was the case when this country was first founded. That was the case when people headed west, outside of the grasp of the government. Where did the incentive go? Can you not become rich? What's stopping you? Sure, if you think that Obama is the candidate for you go for it. No matter which candidate you choose, it's wrong to take from one, against his/her constitutional rights, and give to another. The bailout and many goverment programs included. And i'm far from people making $200k or $250k, whatever it is, that will be taxed more. I don't want their money. I just want to keep more of what I earn. I don't want social security. I just want the federal government to go back to it's roots. People will take care of themselves. People will take care of each other. How much wealth do you think is/was redistributed thanks to government? Beyond regulation, we can look at government contracts or legislation that was passed to stack the deck, if you will, in some rich guy's favor. No matter what, it's difficult to deny they system is flawed, and there needs to be a change that no politician can provide; only the people can demand it. I've enjoyed the chat. I'll check back tomorrow.

I agree. Capitalism in its purest form requires structure, but who should decide the structure? Federal Government? So instead of 3MM people controlling with countries wealth (1% of the population), it should be controlled by a few hundred people in DC? Competition will prevail. As long as there is incentive to be wealthy/successful. Incentive drives an economy. Citizens should decide what structure is necessary in their respective states. A few hundred in DC should rarely speak for the beliefs of hundreds of millions. While I can see your logic with the poker tournament example, a country's economy is not that simple. Is this concentration of wealth due to a lack of gov't or too much gov't? I'm betting on the latter.

There's a lot of application to support your statement on socialism (Russia, N. Korea, Germany) as communism and facsism are rooted in socialism, but can you tell me one society, country, regime that supports your hypothesis on capitalism?

Can I buy this guy a beer? This is the most intelligent, logical post I've read in this discussion. The fact that some Americans not only accept the the differential tax treatment, but condone the usage of tax dollars to manipulate the economy disturbs me. I consider it a gross perversion of the constitution. All Men are created equal, but let's not treat them equally.

Guerin Rife Blade Putter.....not the two-bar

Is the bimini available for the lefties? If not, I think I'm going to go with Yes Sophia. I haven't had a chance to hit the Nicki. -

Nice response time. I appreciate the solid answer. Thanks a lot. -
So I was in my local PGA tour superstore last night checking out some new putters. They have a decent selection for the lefties, but, of course, there were many more right-handed putters so I decided to give them a look. I noticed a Guerin Rife blade putter. I mean the classic blade style, like the Yes sophia, and not the two-bar blade that you can find on Rife's website. Anybody else seen these? I've looked online all morning and I can't find any signs that they ever existed.

That's the thing. I'm not bringing it up to favor either of the two "major" political parties. You are exactly right. Everyone, who identifies themselves as Republican or Democrat, has socialist tendencies because they willingly place power in the government's hands to decide what's best for everyone. You have a few hundred people deciding what's best for over 300MM. America has been quasi-socialist for a long time, and it's only getting worse. The Federal Goverment is the most inefficient user of resources in America. Government is the only monopoly. Neither "major" party will change this.
-
No, you are right in the technical definition of an act being socialist. I was referring to the more political definition of socialism. A government whose only 2 functions are national defense and protection of private property is a libertarian belief. Anything beyond that is socialism in the political sense. When transportation infrastructure, school systems, energy infrastructures are created and managed by the government, that's socialism. I'm making sense to me.
-
The bailout is socialist. Universal Healthcare is socialist. Welfare is socialist. Social Security is socialism. Anytime the government takes tax dollars to create/run a(n) entity/event/program that is not related to the protection of private property and/or nation defense, it's socialism.

If you don't vote Libertarian, quit bitching. It's the way this country was intended to be and the way it should be. The way the founding fathers envisioned it. I would gladly go to arms against the currenet government, the real reason the 2nd Amendment exists. I'm disgusted at the current state of America. Both parties only attempt force their ideals upon the entire nation. Fewer and fewer fit into the republican and democratic "molds." This country needs a real change, not the BS proposed by the two major candidates. At my very first lesson ever, my instructor changed my grip to that exact grip. He showed me the adjustments and then put me in front of a mirror. He said you should be able to see the logo on your glove. My left hand is a little more underneath the club too. Made a dramatic difference. I went from 120s to 90s almost immediately.

I'm in Roswell. I'm single, so I won't be able to join a couples game.

Left-Handed Club Fitting?
LooseLefty replied to BCEagles722's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'm lefty too. I think the adjustments on club should carry over to other clubs. I was fitted for my Callaways, and then I bought some AP1's off of ebay with the same adjustments. I hit them this weekend and I didn't notice a difference. Golfsmith does fittings online. Grab a tape measure, you're going to need it. -
I've always wanted to go to norway, since i'm of norwegian descent (sp?).

JessN16, Chilli Dipper and Tar Dawg, we should set up a tee time somewhere.
-
Cool. We should get together and play. Lots of courses in Atlanta I haven't tried yet.
-
I actually live in Roswell. Right off GA 400.
-
Jess, What part of Bama? I know you said central, but what are you close to? Don't feel too bad. It was a one time deal. Haven't been able to touch it again.
-
Walk. My buddy got me into walking. You can save $10-20 a round depending on the course. Plus it's good for you.

I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully find some other golfer in my area(s). I live in work in Atlanta, GA, but I go home to Smiths, AL (near Auburn) sometimes on the weekends. I just picked up the game a few months ago. I do take lessons with Mark Immelman in Columbus, GA, which is cool since his bro won the Masters. Really nice guy. My best score happened last weekend. I hit an 89 at Alfred "Tup" Holmes here in Atlanta, GA. If anybody in the area wants to play, I game. Thanks for looking and I look forward to learning a lot from you guys/gals. Allen

The prices on www.•••••••.com are suspiciously low. I also noticed that only some clubs show which hand the clubs are available for.

Yesterday, I hit one about 310. It was down hill, but I didn't get much of a roll/bounce.
