  1. So I have been using the Golfpadgps mobile app for the past few months and it is by far the best scorecard/rangefinder/gps app that I have used. Maybe two months ago I was able to get my hands on their new Golf Tags, similar to Game Golf and Arccos shot tracking systems and so far I have really enjoyed using them. Ill be honest, the biggest reason I went with the Golf Tags was that they were only $100 versus over $200 for the other two. Being just graduated from college, money sways a lot of decisions haha Anyways the point of this post is that I saw Golf Pad's twitter that they launched a kickstarter campaign for the new version of golf tags, and they are even cheaper on there! here's a link for anyone interested: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/golfpad/golf-tags-easily-track-and-improve-your-golf-game?ref=nav_search
  2. appreciate the info, interesting to read it written out like that.
  3. I used to play professional baseball for a couple years and that's when my love of golf blossomed as well. I began to appreciate golf because it made baseball feel easy, comparatively. Both sports can be ruthless when things aren't going well for you, but I have yet to encounter a mental challenge equal to golf.
  4. Not sure which one this qualifies as but I have a couple buddies who won't give themselves anything above a triple bogey because they can't report it for their handicap. I have tried to explain thats not how it works too many times, I've given up that argument.
  5. I have hit a couple golf carts with people inside of them but luckily no body contact. Its a terrible, heart-dropping feeling watching your ball track right at someone. I wish I could hit the golf ball where I wanted it to go every time hahaha
  6. A few years ago, down in Arizona, I was playing with a buddy who was just taking up golf. This was maybe his 3rd or 4th round now with his own clubs and he was struggling to figure out how not to hit a wicked slice. Anyways, were on like the 15th hole which is a dogleg left par 4 that plays right into his slice, he's left-handed, so he is all excited and you can just tell he is gonna swing as hard as he can. This course was in a retirement community down there so there is a road about 15 yards behind the tee box. About 20 yards in front of the tee box and off to the left there is a desert area with a couple cacti and a fairly large rock. My buddy takes a huge swing and tops his drive right off of this rock face and it bounces straight back at us but about 20 feet over our heads and ends up maybe 50 yards back across the street. He successfully hit about a -75 yard tee shot and could have killed us if it had bounced lower off of the rock. The four of us who were playing that day all hit the deck on the tee box from laughing so hard. It was easily the worst shot I have ever seen but also the most entertaining.
  7. Hello all, Just joined the forum as a way to connect with other people who are passionate about golf. I have really started playing a lot over the last year and am seriously hooked. I recently graduated from college and am on the hunt for a full time job, but being unemployed leaves lots of time for golf haha
