  1. Thanks for your reply. I needed to hear what you said just the way you said it. I don't know why, as golfers, we have to always be looking to fix things when they aren't broke! Thanks again.
  2. Currently, I use a driver, and no other fairway woods. I carry a 1,2,3,4,5 hybrid. At 53, I still have a solid 4 handicap but just don't play enough to hit the longer irons consistently. I was always an average fairway wood player in my younger days, but am again considering a 3 wood. In the past i have experimented with various clubs, but now I don't know if I should continue experimenting. I hit the hybrids very consistently, with my 1 hybrid topping out at 220 off the tee. Is it worth adding the 3 wood? My buddies think I am crazy because I am looking for those extra 20-25 yds especially on reachable par 5's. I tell them I want to get home in two, they tell my why? you always par or birdie those holes anyway. Give me your feedback guys. Thanks.

  4. I am looking into purchasing an odyssey putter. I have others I have used and happened to see an i series putter (#1) recently. Being a lefty there aren't many putters to demo. I have checked out the Scotties and while they are great looking clubs, the feel didn't seem anything exceptional. When I tried the i series Odyssey, it just seemed to set up to my eye nicely, and felt good. But of course that is on the edwin watts indoor practice green. Has anyone checked the non insert black series putter and compared them? All of my other odyssey putters have some type of insert so I am not so sure. THANKS.
  5. Another thought...today there are so many better players that can go low on any given week. Jack had a handful of great players that he competed with, but in the whole field there were maybe 10 people that could give him a game week in and week out. He even said that in an inteview a few years back... that he didn't think there were ten people in the field that really worried him at any one tournament.
  6. I am a chiropractic physician for the last 28 years. Have really enjoyed helping people, especially those with sports injuries. Have taken extensive courses in the treatment of golf related injuries as well as a number of very detailed golf schools for my own improvement. It always amazes me that when a golfer comes to my office and explains his injuries I can predict his approximate handicap... I have had the joy of treating a number of PGA and LPGA players over the years because of my proximity to tour events in south Florida. It has been fun to hear their stories and has given me a different perspective on the game. I feel privileged to have had the experience.
  7. Tiger... I saw Jack in his prime. He dominated in an era of very similar technology. Just about everyone used Powerbilt Persimmon citation woods, 43 inch steel shaft... not much technology back then. Today, so many players can customize their equipment to the hilt and yet still, Tiger dominates. Maybe not a perfect comparison, but one that I don't think many have verbalized.
