  2. For me personal i never search the full 5 minutes for one ball maybe when me and my playingpartner each lose one we need 5 minutes. But as soon as we hold up the following group through. I played a tournament last weekend and the group in front searched on 16/17 and 18 and we have already waited on every teebox since hole 12 (started our round at 10). When they finaly waved us through on 18 they had a gap of a little more than two holes in front of them...Thats how it works and i hate those golfers. You need to take your time to search for a lost ball, especially on tournaments, but let ohters play through!!
  3. 300yards.com or any other website from america is sadly not an option for me because i'm living in germany and shipping is 100$ and more for even smal items like golfballs or something like that. I played yesterday and having a feeling that my 3-wood kind of knew that it is supposed to be gone within the next weeks...hit it 4 times on the par 5's and went dead straight about 200-220 yards every time :D... We will have a demo day from callaway at the end of april, maybe i will order a cobra fly z for that weekend and i will have quite some clubs to test then (Callaway BB, XR, XR Pro, Fly Z, and aeroburner from our pro shop)
  4. it's onyl start of the season here in northern germany so i can't quite say that it is fixed, also i never believed in it as a real slice but at the moment everything is going straight somethimes with a slight draw all it took was a lesson with my pro who told me that i didn't quite rotate my arms through impact leaving the clubface open to the path...I have always had a nice in to out swing so after that comment he showed me how to rotate my arms proberly. I hope that i can stick to that feeling through the season and it could be a good one. (also we ever so slightly strenghtened my grip which helped massivly with my 3-wood)
  5. hard to decide for me :D only been playing for 2 years so not that much time to develop any habits :D maybe #6 The Air Counter but just to count every shot in our group of three on the way to the next tee box...
  6. I think not the phones should be banned, some photos are a good souvenir for many people. what's the problem is the sound. There are so many officials at every event, it shouldn't be a problem to maybe give out "strikes" to everyone who distracts the players...three strikes and you are out of the tournament.
  7. That was quick....2 down, one to go...sadly you couldn't improve your handicap today or all three would be set :D
  8. played today and kind of confirmed my distances from 2 weeks ago... 3w -> 225 3h -> 190 5i -> 180 6i -> 170 7i -> 150 8i -> 135 9i -> 125 pw -> 115 sw -> 90 all distances in yards ;)
  9. played a 98 today. very staisfied, many good shots, sadly 3 blow up's but still very good. feeling good for the season
  10. I will look into that when I'm at home during the weekend. How can I check my swingweight? found a tutorial another question: You want a somehow consistent swingweight through your clubs right? so I might want to look in some woods similar to my hybrid.
  11. pretty easy goals for mee and feeling confident to make them this year 1) getting my handicap down below 30 2) scoring a round below 100 3) play a Course other than my homecourse so far I'm 1/3....:)
  12. I justsearched a little bit for the shaft weights and found some. The Irons have thestandard KBS-Tour shafts at 120g and the hybrid comes with the Tour AD at a whooping 65 gram. The Fairwaywood comes with a spezial callaway shaft for which I sadly can't find any information. I know that fitting is always the best option but it is a bit hard for me. Our proshop is fairly lmited and the next bigger facility is more than an hour away, which for a student, is quiet a distance. I might give my Pro a visit hoping they already stocked up on new Clubs (mostly Callaway and Taylor made) but was hoping for some other ideas that I might order online for teesting (no charges for testclubs from where I order, thats why this is an option) so far
  13. Playing this atm: Fairway: Razr fit (about to be replaced) Hybrid: Baffeler T-Rail 18° Irons: Tour Preferred CB 5-PW Wedge: Tour Preferred Sandwedge 56° Putter: Versa 1W Tees and Balls are what I can find in my Bag, but during this season i might opt for some Bridgestone e6 or Wilson Dx3 Lakeballs Bag is an Callaway bag out of the Basement and new in the lineup is a Trolley from Score Industries in the style of the Clic Gear. Loving my Setup and I'm pretty happy with it.
  14. Hey I#M searching for a new 3-Wood and hope you might have some help for me. I have a Callaway Razr Fit 3-Wood in my Bag and i Just cant get it straight. I just don't feel the Club, I've been struggling with it since i Picked up Golf 2 1/2 Years ago and I need a consistens Wood Hence not Playing Driver (Haven't bought one yet, Wood is first on my Bucketlist) I'm Playing Taylormade Tour Preffered CB Irons 5-PW, 1.5" longer and 2° Upright, a Cobra Baffler T-Rail 18° Hybrid with standard Regular shaft Hitting my hybrid ~190 and my 5i ~180 so I think I want my 3-Wood to go roughly 205 to 210. What's wrong with my current wood is that I just don't feel it. It is so light I just swing it and can't feel the head turning. In my irons and Hybrid I feel the Head turning through impact which makes it pretty easy to conttrol for me. I know it is hard to ask to recommend a club for feels but mybe someone has experience with one that might suit me. I have already layed eyes on the Cobra Fly-Z(Low and back CG), and maybe the Callaway XR 3Deep(nice Big head, looks easy to launch). Any other suggestions or Tips? Thanks so far P.S. Of course I will try the club first, but our Pro Shop is relativly small so I might need to order some democlubs online thats why I'm asking in advance ;)
  15. Not a real Score, But played two rounds of matchplay the last days. Won both :) One 4 on 3 and the other 5 on 4. Pretty satisfied.
  16. Hey, just joined the site, been looking on and off for quite some time and decided that it might be Time to participate. I've been interested in golf for many years now, despite my family not understanding the fascination of the game, so never started playing. luckily my Girlfriend plays golf since the age of 7 so I decided to start too. I've been playing active since a good two years now. sadly my index is only 33.5 but I think one big reason for that are the clubs I used to play. Some old used ones with regular graphite shafts, standard loft and standard Lie....in Dezember I got fitted for new ones and loving them so far, can't wait for my first competitive round (Played some matchplay, won both games 4 on 3 :) )... Something about myself, I'm 24 Years old and studying Civil Engineering in Germany (might explain my english) sadly the town where I study does not have a Club, so I can only play on the weekends or during holidays... so long greetings
