  1. Correct, that was me. 58 has been a great club. I just need another club to replace my 53 and I think I will get a cg14 54 degree, maybe.
  2. Make it to state for the 14-15 age group.
  3. I guess. So, It's between a 54 and a 52. I think I'll go with a 54 because that would get me to about 100 yard full swing. Chipping with it might be nice also.
  4. Yeah I have a 53 currently, but I need to get rid of it. How is a 52 56 and 58?
  5. Right now I own a good 58 degree that I need to keep. I'm planning to buy two more wedges. What combo should I buy? And is a 54 degree much like a 56? Also, if I get a 50 degree, isn't that awfully close to my pitching wedge (48)?
  6. I know what you mean. does a 54 degree wedge work well for a sand wedge?
  7. Thanks guys. The main tips I have taken is: Get stan utley's book Find distances with different length of swings Swing like a wedge not another club/swing smoothly excel through the ball Cool beans
  8. I have heard many success stories and positives taken from the book. I watched a few of his videos and he knows what a player might feel. Thanks for the reassurance
  9. Also, I decided to purchase "the art of short game" by Stan Utley. He seems like my kinda guy, really putting emphasis on feel. What do you guys think? any tips from him that you guys have learned?
  10. I'll try that, thanks!
  11. I know what you mean. I need to get some new wedges. I have a good 58 degree but i have a bad 53 degree. Maybe i get a 56 and 52?
  12. I'll take a look, thanks!
  13. I am a failure with the wedge. I can chip and pitch well, but when it comes to full wedge shots, I can't seem to get my distances or any kind of consitancy. Any tips on full to 3/4 wedge shots? Thanks a bunch!
  14. Thank you very much, your tip has been extremely helpful. I'll keep this in mind :)
  15. Well, my ball flight varies and so does my draw/fade because I'm currently working on swing plane. I hit my drives high (then again I use a 13 degree driver), my irons are at pretty good height. I hit it straight for the most part, but I guess I play a fade. What are good things and bad things about every different kind of ball position.
  16. What are the pros and cons of different ball positions with different irons. I need to know the best ball positions with my irons. Right now, I think I have it too far forward. Input is appreciated!
  17. OPPS! I didn't realize you got fitted already. Well I hope you enjoyed the experience and are happy with your driver. I recommend to every golfer to go get fitted for every club they buy. I'm a hypocrite though, I just bought a taylor made burner TP off the shelf. Love it though :)
  18. Surprisingly, it's not as expensive as you may think. I'll explain my process to get my custom fitted irons. Basically, I went to a fitter and get fitted for the irons. (duh) All I had to pay for was the actual fitting, which was 40$. Then I took my "coordinates" to my local golf store and they sent for the irons. I only had to pay extra for the shipping. So unless you're really tight budget, you can get a normal off the shelf driver price plus a good 60 bucks or so. It is more than worth it. GOOD LUCK!
  19. hahaha got him. Nice one!
  20. Agreed. I wouldn't mess with the man.
  21. Tiger and Paddy are wonderful par putters. Par putts are what made paddy win the pga. Especially the last hole! I also would love to see those two in a final pairing. Two different attitudes with the same goal. Good stuff... as for the tourney, I think if the winning score is higher then -10 then I think paddy will definitely have a top 10. THE FIGHT OF THE IRISH!
  22. It's defientely not a bad swing. It's coming a little inside. One drill I do, (I constantly work on swing plane), is to film yourself, and on the take away, you should feel like you are bringing it outside. This will bring it on plane, then at the top, you need to not reroute your club and make sure to come down on the same path. Good luck!
  23. You're right about the teed too high, but a lot of the pop upness is from coming steep. It's like when you hit a wedge, you hit down on it to pop it up. This applies to all clubs
  24. The distance from the ball shouldn't matter as long as it isn't too close to your body. Think of an iron coming into the ball. Think of it coming in at a steep angle. Then think of one with a flatter angle. You want a somewhat shallow/flat angle into the ball. Basically, you want that little torso lean back, but keep you arms at full extend. Some people top because they bring their shoulders in. A steep angle won't let you come in with arms fully extended. Also check your swing plane. Search "golf swing plane" on youtube, to learn what you need to do with your swing plane.
