  1. For what it's worth, I went from playing Cleveland Cg4s to the AP2 and had no trouble at all with the transition...in fact the AP2s really sharpened my ball striking.
  2. I would also give the AP2s a try if you haven't already.
  3. I purchased the AP2s with the Project X shafts when they first came out. I love these clubs and have no complaints whatsoever. For what it's worth, they also have the v grooves, so they'll conform to the rule change.
  4. I also wear the Superfeet inserts and can say they make my Dry-Joys feel great! I'll never go back to wearing any golf shoe without these inserts.
  5. I live in upstate NY (about 15 minutes frpom the Turning Stone casino and resort). They have a golf dome, in addition to some great courses. I believe the dome was ranked quite well last year and will be again this year. For $300 I get to play on the range, chip, & put 8-8 M-F. I'm lucky to be able to do this, as it certainly helps me continue to improve upon my weak areas and keep my swing/golf muscles in good shape. thatw ay, when i travel to FL mid-winter I have an average round and struggle far less than I would if I hadn't played in months.
  6. Regardless of whether you play a Pro-V or a Top-Flight, I will say that I think it's important to play a ball you like and stick with it...that is if you're skill level and feel is good enough to tell the difference between balls. I find that when I play a different ball from my usual it definitely throws me off.
  7. I purchased a set of the AP2s mid-way through last winter and could not be happier with them. I was playing Cleveland CG4s prior to the Titleist purchase. These irons did lower the ball flight, much in part to the Project X shafts. They sincerely made me a better player. The feedback was much better than my previous set, but still allowed some forgiveness. I demoed all types of irons before I made the purchase. These clubs are the best! However, with that said, you need to get what works best for you. Who knows, maybe you'll really like the Cleveland reds, but I'd be surprised to hear that people choose those over the AP2s on a regular basis. At the end of the day the AP2s are a much better club IMHO. Good luck with whatever decision you make
  8. First post from the FNG ; ). Let me start off by saying I'm happy to have found a community of folks as dedicated to the wonderful game of golf as myself. People think I'm crazy because I love the game so much and am, admittedly, obsessed with it. It's good to see there are others out there just like me. In any case, I currently play the TM Superquad but am looking into purchasing the Titleist 909 D2 or D3 driver. However, I do wonder if the fact that they are 1* open as opposed to the closed face of the TM will cause problems for me...like a power fade. Currently, my miss is a pull. I'll obviously be demoing the club in the near future, but was just curious what others think about this concept. Any thoughts?
