  1. As far as i know you can't just demo the clubs you have to have a fitting.
  2. Hi, After reading the latest 'golf digest' article on the advantages of golf club fitting I've got a question to throw out there and i hope this subject hasn't been discussed...sorry if it has. I live in the Midlands in the U.K. only about 15 mins from the Belfry which boasts a great academy and huge fitting center with 10 different manufacturers. My main question is this...how? if i want say a new set of irons do i choose which manufacturer to visit for my fitting. All the top manufacturers have 2, 3 or 4 different models in there range all of which will slightly differ from each other be it with technology or just the 'look' of the club. If i went to Callaway and got fitted how do i know that my real perfect fitted iron isn't sat on the shelf in the Taylor made fitting suite or the Ping fitting suite etc.... Its 50 pound to be fitted for any of the manufacturers if you don't purchase the clubs so its a lot of money to lay out to try them all. Also I'm sure all the different manufactures fitters will tell me that there technology is best. One other thing if i go to a local range and try the different makes of irons i wont get a true reflection of the club because they wont be fitted to my requirements. I'm really keen on getting fitted as I'm sure it will improve my game. So any comments on this would help. Thanks in advance. Neil
  3. Hi, has anyone had dealings with '••••••••••'. Some of there clubs are amazingly cheap and when i emailed them to ask why they told me that all products are OEM. I was looking at callaway x-22 tour irons that are 200 pound cheaper than anywhere else I've found. Thanks Neil
  4. Hi, if i don't play for a couple of weeks i start to shank when i come back. I have a very flat swing and Ive found that my wrists are pointing the shaft way to the left at the top of my back swing forcing me to come inside too much and lead with the dreaded shank. Now after practicing this on the range and making an effort to keep the shaft pointing at the target i find i always go too far and create other problems. Can anyone tell me how they practice at putting a fault right without over doing it and creating a new problem. I hope you understand all that. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi, i'm going to the Belfry next Sunday for my first custom fitting session, its with Callaway. I booked it a month ago when i was looking at buying Callaway x-22 tours. Since then i've tried the mizuno mp-52s on the range and love them. I've no intention of buying the clubs from The Belfry i just want the report. My question is if i go and have the fitting session with Callaway will i be able to use the report, buy and custom fit the Mizuno's or do i have to custom fit the clubs i want. Hope this is not too confusing. Thanks Neil
  6. Thanks for all your thoughts. I think i might try the Callaway x22 tours at the range and maybe mizuno 200s i've read good reviews for both of these.
  7. Hi, here's my story. I started playing golf again last May after a 7 year gap. when i stopped playing i was playing to 7 handicap. Last July i updated my equipment and brought a set of Adams Idea a3 irons, Insight xd driver, insight xd 3 wood. This equipment was great to 'get me back started' in golf but i think i've out grown them. I've recently swapped the driver and 3 wood for Ping G10s and they've taken me onto a new level. The next step is my irons. I'm currently playing to 10 but want to go down lower than my 7 from a few years ago. I was amazed by the technology change in the time i was away and i hope this can help me again. Any suggestions on what to buy. 9. If Tiger can stay fit now he's had the op i think his drive and determination to equal and then beat Jacks record will keep him going. I just hope in the next 5 years we get some young and hungry golfers who can challenge Tiger and not get intimidated by him.
  10. Hi, i worked as a greenkeeper for 20 years now i'm running my own lawn treatment company.
