  1. Rory McIlroy (Roy McIlroy) is in the Masters will he win or take a 12 at 15? I can see him now walking up 18 with a Waffle House cap.!!!!
  2. They are the cavity backs, rifle projectx 5.5 shafts, I already have TM Burner Woods and a Tour burner driver, Volkey SW and Cleveland 588 lob wedge. I like the feel of forged clubs on a Bridgestone ball.
  3. I really like John Daly he is beer/whiskey guy who can hit it. The tour hates players like him because he doesn't fit their mode, greed. If Tiger wanted to play bare foot and in shorts they would change the rules. Just my two cents.
  4. The wife bought me some Freddies for Aniv, can't wait to play with these irons. Anyone using same? They have Rifle shafts.
  5. IMHO if the lofts and lengths are the same the blades when hit in the sweet spot are about one club longer that cavity backs. The mass is more concentrated behind the sweet spot. Forged clubs have more feedback. When I was younger I really like either my Hogan Apex Twos or Wilson Fg17s. If I was going to use blades now it would probably be Mizunos, when I get to be a real Geezer I will take my 1953 Silver Scots down from the wall and play with them and persimmon woods.
  6. IMHO the effects of a stiff shaft or lack of loft are also dependent on the flex point of the particular shaft. low loft driver may work with a low flex point shaft, "one with a tip flexiable shaft". Being an old geezer I now hit a 10.5 Burner with a stiff Fuk... shaft. I never can hit a regular shaft in a driver. I used to like Hogan Apex 5 shafts in my driver and 3 wood.
  7. An excellent book, I have reread it many times over the years. The DVD "The Ben Hogan Collection is a great subliment to the book,
  8. My old Ping Zing BeCu lob wedge.
