I think you may be correct. I have heard so many good things about them that they must be pretty good. I will try to snap some pix today. -

I played the Ocean Course on Kiawah for the first time this past Monday. I went out as a single with a caddy. I teed of at noon and the last group that teed off in front of me went out @ 9:00am. I had the entire course to myself. The Ocean Course is amazing and it jumped right into my top 5 courses of all time. Every hole is awesome and challenging. Having a caddy saved me at least 10 shots. It was a great day!

Been away for a while so i thought I would check in and make a post or two. I have read a lot recently about the Top Flite Gamers so for kicks I thought I would give them a try. I usually play Z-Stars and I had fairly low expectations for the ball. This evening I went out with my youngest daughter and played a few holes. I hit three Gamers off of the first tee and they were 10 yards longer than the 3 Z-Stars I hit right after them. I then went to the 100 yard marker and dropped 6 Gamers 5 yards behind the marker (I hit a full SW 105 yards). All 6 of them were well struck and all six either spun back a yard or two or dropped dead on the green. I was thoroughly impressed as I drove the cart up to the green. When I picked up the balls, the covers on all of them had been sheered off. Not just scuffed but shredded where the club face made impact. In fact the "Top" in "Top Flite" was totally removed from one the balls. The balls could never be played again. Even if you pick off all of the shredded pieces, the dimples are gone. The balls do not even look round. So then I took the other 6 Gamers from the dozen and went back into the fairway to the 150 marker. I Dropped them 10 yards behind the marker (I hit an 8I 160). 5 of the six I hit were well struck. Hit the green with all of them and the 5 I hit well released about 1/2 a yard and the one I hit a little chunky rolled out 10 feet. Again the balls were badly scuffed. I would deem them not quite shredded but badly scuffed. I would use the six balls hit w/ the 8I again. For kicks I took these same 6 balls and hit full PWs from 135 and this was the death blow for each one of them. Totally ruined. While they are $20 per dozen I would not consider them to be a good value since they have no longevity. A dozen balls would barely last a full 18. I will stick with my Z-Stars for now.

My allignment is totally screwed up. Does anyone know of an allignment aid that has helped them? It has gotten really bad...

Mk70 1911= Sweet Pistol I have had bad luck with 1911's. I have had a 2 Kimbers and 2 Sprigfields. Both were very tempremental. Have not owned a Colt but it is on the list.
-
Is it the .38 or a .380? It sounds more like their .38 revolver. I think Taurus actually makes a nice little wheel gun.
-
One more.
-
I got inspired and took a few shots just now.

It is funny you mention that your hands are too big for the compact. I held the full size USP .45 and I could barely touch the trigger. Once the wife dowloads all of the kids pix I will snap a few of the pistol and post them.

Excellent point. What really gets me is that when someone does post a thread that can be researched are the people who go out of their way to reply to it with a "I can't believe this is being discussed again." Why did they even bother to take the time to reply. Why not just ignore the thread? One of the advantages of belonging to a forum like is to be able to ask seemingly stupid questions that you would not ask someone in person. I have learned so much about golf and firearms by belonging to forums. While most people are intent on being helpful there are many people who use forums to prove how smart they are and be obnoxious to others.

Picked up an H&K; USP .45 compact yesterday. I have always wanted one and I finally pulled the trigger. I have free time this morning and I cannot decide if I should go shooting or hit golf balls.

Without someone asking me why, would someone help me with an answer to the following question. Currently I have a set of irons that have an adjustable weighting system shafted with S300's (the weigh 130 grams). What would be the result if I put and additional 20 grams of weight into each head and reshafted them with 80 gram graphite shafts? Anyone care to speculate? Thanks!

I live in Jax and have played that hole dozens of times. The hole is extremely easy and it is only the situation of the Players that makes it difficult. Any tour player can account for the wind, green hardness and visual trickery. The atmosphere of the tourney, money and exemption really play mind games. I have never made anything worse that a three there. 18 is a whole different story. I might as well just put a "6" on the scorecard at the start of the round. 18 is much harder than 17.
-
Went to the Players yesterday. It was $%*ing hot!!!! Sat out on 17 and it was relatively empty and you could get a great view from anywhere. We ended up in the Benefactors indoor bar above 17 for most of the afternoon. Drank too much but had fun and got some sun. I really wish they would move it back to March. I can deal with rain and cold but not the extreme heat.

acj990- Do you find the Sig 229 to be a bit bulky for on duty carry? I love the platform but if I had to carry a weapon all day it seems as if it would be a little intrusive because of its weight. What do you think? Fat Slice- P228 is my fav 9mm next to the Hi Power. Great gun!
-
In case anyone was in the market for a new 9mm, there has been another batch of SP2022s released from Sig. I bought one of these last year at the same price and is far and away my favorite pistol. Best deal out there IMHO. http://topgunsupply.com/sig-sauer-si...ht-sights.html http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ducts_id=14902 I might buy another one of these today since the one I got does not have night sights and these do.
-
Laxplayer- What do you think of the PPS? I keep eyeing them at the gun shop.
-
Cody- Love those Mausers. Can take one made over 60 years ago, wipe off the dust and shoot close groups all day. Best rifle ever made.
-
Simple enough question. I am just curious to see if we have any fellow shooters on the board.
-
Medalist right when Norman opened it. It was almost a joke.
-
Does anyone know of a graphite wood shaft that comes in X and is 55 grams or less?
-
Based on what you said above I take back much of what I said in my post.

If you showed up at either of the clubs I belonged to dressed as you described I would have pointed you to the pro shop to buy new threads. One of the lessons I learned from my late father was "you dress in a way that you wish to be treated". You dressed like a dirt bag and got treated like one. Members of a private country club can set any rules or customs they wish. If you show up at one of these places I would suggest following them. Their turf their rules.
