  1. Haha! Well true true. I've been on business the last 3 days and nights - out of town. Got my driver swings ready to email - gotta cut up my iron swings to email as well now. Probably going to do that over lunch tomorrow at work. Weird thing while taping my swings - Its like I had problems replicating my "consistant" problem - which is always missing to the left. I was actually pulling and going to the right a little - had a nice draw once. crazy. But I made sure both my driver hits have the major slice. I did make one change in my swing when I was golfing on Wednesday. I've been scared of slicing and noticed my shoulders are open - so ben trying to keep my shoulders on my target line - tough to do as it's pretty ingrained - but when I did it - my shots were much better. So yes - if anything - promise the driver swings tomorrow. and all info requested of course.
  2. Ok - Have some swings taped - have them on CD> just gotta cut up the ones to send and get them to you - We also taped my buddy while we were at it. who knows - maybe can have a "high handicapper swing analasys" article - pointing out common faults and cures etc. Jonathan
  3. Yeah - I think where intelligolf shines is on the pocketPC plactform - I think that's what it was developed for initially and the desktop softwrare was added after - who knows.
  4. I'm also looking forward to trying out a windows version of Eriks software - probably be a little while though from the sounds of it. Erik - sign me up for beta testing if you're looking! I did beta testing on a poker timer and tournament tracking software and gave many suggestions that were implemented, and found bugs that were fixed. For now I'll stick to Intelligolf on my Pocket PC. It also has a desktop companion - but I havn't found a way to entered detailed shot info on the desktop yet (like missing left, short, long blah blah blah.) Could be a lot easier to use than currently is.
  5. Needless to say - all my irons are old hard grips - My buddys going to come with me - he's got newish clubs - I could just use one of those. What if my swing is so fast the camera can't capture it? like 400 mph? kidding. Going to capture it tomorrow - hopefully get it on a comp and cut up for you this weekend. Jon
  6. Okay - fired an email off to my ounger brother - making sure his computer is ready to accept some DVCam footage - I'll try and get to the range on Saturday Morning. NOW - my grip on my 6 iron is old and I'm in need of a new one - Should I still do the swing - or wait until it's regripped? I figure swing will be the same no matter what - grip pressure might screw things up though. You also want a quick pic of my grip on the club from over my shoulder - and face on? Jon Also - to add, will you be able to tell swing speed from videos and other information to tell wether I'm maybe using wrong shafts etc?
  7. Raises hand - sniffs underarm after being on rainge all day - decides it's good - keeps hand raised. Now All I gotta do is get to the range and do my swing. My miises are 90% left - my misses make up 5/6ths of my golf game - lol. Jon
  8. I agree with advice given saying to somehow let him in that you're counting.
  9. Well - My Irons: PowerBilt GrandSlams - about 14-16 years old I'd say 5w - Powerbilt - got in 2003 Driver - Just picked up the Intech Yellowjacket from Walmart Putter - PGA Tourline pro - got at a swapmeet for 5 bucks when I was in elementry school - love it. SW - some cheapie from WalMart - 2003. New set - looking right now for something at a very low price / great club. Looking at a set of Powerbilt TPS 6.0's on ebay right now. Maybe Wilson DeepReds. Jon
  10. Me, Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, and Jessica Alba. Oh - Golf foursome . . . 1. Me 2. John Daly 3. Trump 4. Howard Stern I think it'd be an entertaining round to say the least.
  11. What about trying the ol' bump and run shots. use a 7 iron or something - pick a spot - hit - let it drop and roll to the hole? Of course, saying that - I may not be the best person to take golf advice from - but my short game is OK. Jon
  12. Thx for the response. I'm finding there are a few options for software on pocketpc and palm - and most of those options have desktop software as well for your computer. Prett cool stuff. Also - about 5 programs out there that can utilize a bluetooth wireless GPS unit. (or any GPS unit you can plug into your PDA.) Your software going to be MAC only? Going to be able to sync / have sister software for handheld devices in the future? Right now I'm quite enjoying this software - but loving screenshots of others I may try as well. Jon
  13. Ok - I've got a few rounds entered in Intelligolf. WOndering if some of you better players can tell me. Putts - On the PGA Tour - do they count putts from the fringe / off the green? Or are those still considered approach shots? Example - say I'm off the green in the fringe - I make a 25 - 35 foot put and hole it. Would that count as 0 putts for the hole? or Say I put from the fringe - knock it close - then tap in. Would that technically be considered an up and down? Here's the scorecard that program can spit out. ScoreCard also - here's Stats that program can spit out - this is taken from 3 rounds of 9 holes from the same executive course. Stats Example It also does this neat thing called dream Round - where it takes all rounds at a selected course into account and tells you what your best score would be if you took the lowest scores for each hole. Dream Round Holiday Park Executive 9
  14. H O L Y C R A P. sounds and looks very cool. Those screenshots are amazing. I don't have a 360, but wow. I'm currently addicted to Tiger 2006 on the PSP.
  15. Hey all - new here, was reading over the Stats page. Got me searching on the web. Anyone use or have used Intelligolf? ( www.intelligolf.com ) It seems to do everything we'd want - putts, ability to say wether shots were left, right, short long. Up and downs, sand saves - all that stuff. I know it works on palpilots and pocket pcs - but I doubt I'll be using that on the course - just the score card, and using the desktop software later on and entering everything. Seems to work great, but will know better once I enter more rounds. If anyone has used it - anyone tried out the GPS function?
