Titleist 913D3 or Nike Covert Tour?
Gioguy21 replied to MarcTremors's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Marc, Based on ur response I'd suggest hitting the 913D2...and getting fit for loft and and shaft selection. If u don't want to pay retail and need help finding shafts similar to what you were fit for, let me know. I know u like the smaller heads, however the forgiveness in the D2 will keep u in the fairway more. Just my suggestion, if I can help in anyway, hit me up in a PM -
Anyone else find it easier to hit blades?
Gioguy21 replied to dwade247's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
short answer is no, blades are not easier to hit. however, if you hit blades long enough and work on ballstriking...yes, they can go as far if not further than SGI clubs of the same loft. i personally love blades or players cb's. nothing better IMO than a pured blade...forged or not...but i won't get that debate riled up again lol -
Titleist 913D3 or Nike Covert Tour?
Gioguy21 replied to MarcTremors's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Marc, i've hit both of these as well as my gamer 910D3. if you are playing off a higher handicap, i would highly recommend you not go either th D3 or the CTour. the CTour is not as forgiving as you think it is, and the D3 is a smaller club head designed to work the ball more than the D2. Personally, if i were you i would be looking at either the 913D2 OR the 910D2 (can be had for CHEAP right now)...here's the thing. what kind of 'feel' do you like at impact? if you want a harsher, almost clicky type feel off the driver look at the 913 series. if you want a softer, buttery feeling go to the 910 series. the difference between the two is the face in the 913...feels alot different than the 910. Either way, the shafts in the 910/913 series are interchangeable thanks to the surefit tip. you could save yourself a lot of money by going 910. hope this helps bud, -Gio -
no way man lol most i've ever had was 7 birdies and an eagle. unfortunately i had 2 doubles and 3 bogeys. it was very up and down lol
-
it will/is very tough. i've had a few rounds this season that have given me confidence i can get there. i've had 5 rounds where i've had more than 6 birdies and more than 10 where i've had more than 4 birdies. i know i can shoot low, it's just getting rid of the bogeys/doubles.

as iacas said...i don't care if they're fast or slow as long as they're true.

lol i've been working on this swing for 20 years...i'm gonna have to pass on that trade.

I'm actually 6'3". My irons/short game and putting stroke save me. I average roughly 50-55% of fairways over the last season but need to get that % up. More fairways mean more greens. If I can get on a green I can make putts. Averaged 30.3/rnd this season.

It isn't out further it's just that the ball is off my left foot so u can't see my left shoulder slightly above my right. I've relaxed my shoulders a bit recently so, that 'tension' is no longer there. Thanks for the comment though, the more eyes the better.

Average is over 280 total. I went and got fitted this weekend for a SLDR TP and was getting a solid 6-8 yards gained carry over my 910D3. I will making a change by spring time. My swing is a little different now too. Swinging easier w a better turn. Getting effortless yards...I will take more vids soon. Thanks for the compliment !

How Do You Hit 170 Yards With 7 Iron?
Gioguy21 replied to ronaldkuntoro's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
you hit a 170 yard 7 iron by any 1 or more of the following: 1) contact in the middle or near-middle of the clubface 2) proper shoulder turn and body rotation around your spine axis in the backswing, including wrist hinge/set 3) proper rotation of the lower body to get out of the way of your upper body coming through the hitting area 4) proper release of the club on a slightly in to out path with a moderate angle of attack 5) depending on how efficient and 'quick' you do 1-4, along with variables such as wind/elevation/temperature... you too can hit a 170y 7i -

Guys, I just wanted to throw this out there. Last year, yhe X Hot Pro 3-deep fairway wood was epic for people looking for a fairway wood to hit off the tee on days when the driver was just so-so. I was in search for the last few months for a great all-round 3/4 wood that would be great off the deck and great off the tee. After hitting the 910/913 series, the XHP/RFX line, and the Covert Tour...i found what i was looking for in the SLDR. i'm a high spin player so finding something that was low spin and could still throw the ball out with decent carry was my unicorn. for anyone lookin for a club that can give you options and some seriously stupid long distance...check these out.

my guess is a factory weight to get the SW correct.

I have amateur events on schedule for the spring/summer. I've put in a lot of work in my game this year so, I'm hoping for good results. Thanks for asking. If it was a sarcastic remark...that's cool too. I know it's the internet is full of liars and whatnot, but I play off the back at every course and feel free to look up my GHIN 1194646.
