I have tried the following on my BlackBerry Storm:
Greenfinder
: all year. This is my choice at this time. Does everything its supposed to well. However, it doesn't have some courses that I have played.
Golflogix
: 1 round. The software looks nice but is still kind of clunky. I pulled my phone out of the holster several times to get a yardage and found I was a club off only to realize that the yardage updating is very slow. Buttons are too small to really make a single press do what your want. Scorekeeping looks like more of an afterthought than being well integrated. That said, I think this one is the one to watch as they make improvements.
nRange
: several rounds. Very good customer support in adding courses. They even added courses that Greenfinder refused because their imagery was high quality enough. The google maps integration to look at the course imagery while playing is clunky and slow and of questionable use, IMO.
For me, battery drain was acceptable for each. YMMV.
My dilemna is that I love oobgolf for stat tracking. None of the above integrate so I carry two devices when I play (my Storm and my ipod touch). The ipod touch uses golfcard (excellent scorekeeper) and uploads to oobgolf.
Hope I have a better set of choices for next year...
