USGA on Bionic Glove: Right or Wrong?
dipgolf replied to iacas's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
While I haven't seen the glove in person, I just dont see what the big deal is with the USGA. The pads maybe larger than I think so my decision may change but, it's just a glove. I think it's stupid that one organization, the USGA, can regulate such a large sport. Sure, they do an awesome job, but it seems like they can make or break and equipment company. -
Colored?!?!?! Any Spiderman designs under there?

He just seems goofy and too skinny. I remember back in 2002 when he won the Michelob Championship, he was asked to take a sip of beer. He grimaced afterwards and said he had never had beer. Now you may say "what's wrong with that?" Nothing, but c'mon, be a man and atleast act like you like it for the sponsor.

Anyone playing them? If you haven't seen them yet, they are red and black. I just put one on my Sonartec 3-wood and I love it. I had a Winn AVS and it SUCKED. I am about to put the Decade on all of my irons (except the wedges) and I highly recommend them.

And how many times are they going to say "one of the 112 bunkers at St. Andrews" and "aim for the O in hotel" on 17.

I kept falling back to sleep but it seemed like it was all commercials.

High bounce (above 16°) is for soft turf conditions. Standard bounce (12°-16°) is for normal to soft conditions or those who leave shallow divots. Low bounce (0-16°) is for firm turf or sand conditions. Personally, like the Mizuno MP T Series Raw Haze or the Titleist Vokey Oil Can. Alot of people swear by Cleveland wedges. Since you are a Callaway guy, the Callaway Forged + wedge in the Vintage finish is worth looking at. It's designed by Cleveland and forged by Callaway or something like that.

Is she too good for the Women's Public Links since she already won it? Or does she just want to become a man? Yeah, I think she'll win it.

I didn't expect someone to choose Ian. I hope he does well. (First Round)Tiger is -4 through 9. No bogeys, good start.

One of my favorites is the drive that got away from you but magically bounces off the trees into the fairway. Other than that, I like to play in the bunker every now and then - opening your stance and clubhead then picking it nice and clean.

Hogan makes excellent equipment (I grew up playing Hogan), but it just didn't work for me. And of course, golf is all about what works for you. It could have just been the shaft combination of the club I hit that I didn't like. Good luck with the 1H, that seems like the perfect degree to have in the bag. I'm new to Ole Miss but I am already learning about you LSU people. Keep 'em in the short grass.

Has anyone counted how many players have the Titleist logo next to their name on PGATour.com's leaderboard? I couldn't sleep so of course I had to jump out of bed to check the leaderboard. I counted about 85 Titleist players. I may be mistaken because I counted quickly and also because I went to private school where they teach students to count with their fingers. 85, wow.

What could look funnier on Donald Trump's head other than his own hair? The hat that he wears when he plays golf! Of course, he plays Callaway. I'm not knocking any Callaway lovers but, it seems all of the rich guys that don't get out to play much always have a set of Callaway's latest irons in their bag. Donald and other celebs will be playing in Tahoe this week. http://www.tahoecelebritygolf.com/

name brands vs non-name brands
dipgolf replied to kgallerie's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have hit KZG, Peerless, and Wishon just to name a few. I wouldn't say they are non-name brands but they aren't as well known as say Titleist. They play about the same as the popular brands. I've never had any experience with Acer but if they are "knock-offs" I would steer clear of them. -
Titleist Performance Institute (Free Video)

Just ordered mine although I may be about 5 months too late. Has anyone been to the TPI? That is the first thing I would do if I won the lottery. -
You people and your Macs! I've been keeping my stats and it has helped me see my problem areas like you guys said. It's a very good learning tool.

I've hit the Hogan CFT, Rescue Mid, and Sonartec MD. Out of those three, I liked the Sonartec the most. The other two just didn't feel as solid as the Sonartec. Did anyone else find the Hogan to feel rather dead? I'm definitely going to pick up a 19 degree 503.U once they are available. That club looks awesome.

I've always wanted to travel to Australia. Welcome to the site. One question, do you have kangaroos hopping around the course? I know it's stupid but I always have people up north (I live in Florida) if alligators walk around on the courses and stuff.

I'm not sure. Maybe she's trying the whole "don't miss your childhood" stuff by not becoming a professional. I guess that's a good idea. I mean look at Michael Jackson, he didn't have a childhood and BAM........he's rich.

Anyone watch first round coverage of the US Open on ESPN during the afternoon? Around 1:30 they aired a story about the Payne Stewart tragedy. Hard to describe their summary of the story to you but it was chilling. They showed the acre of land that has been cordoned off where the plane finally went down. Hopefully you guys recorded it on your Tivo.

A year-old chocolate lab named Aspen (because we got her in Aspen, CO). She's crazy even though we spent almost $500 for her to live at doggie bootcamp for 8 weeks. Also have an old mutt named Nike and two cats, Peaches and Millie. I had a googly-eyed goldfish named Liza Minelli but it had to be flushed.
