  1. i created a thread here not too long ago about the mp52 series. i picked up golfing a few weeks ago and i bought a set of the mp52s from a friend. i am a total beginner so I wouldn’t know how forgiving these irons are, but with some basic lessons from my friend and some casual practice at the range, the balls were getting a lot straighter and I don’t feel the vibrations on my fingers/palms as much as I used to when I started. Once in awhile, the balls would fly without any effort and the contact feels fantastic. What was interesting was the fact that my other friend who started golfing a few months before I did gave my 7 iron a try and all his shots were either slicing or ground balls. Maybe I got used to the irons but if I can swing when the mp52, im sure you can as well.
  2. I don’t own any set of golf clubs other than 3 rusted irons I managed to rummage in my garage. I picked up golfing a little over a week ago and I have to say I am getting hooked. I was fortunate to run into a mutual friend at the local driving range who happened to have an extra set of mizuno mp52 that he bought but for his brother but to make the long story short, his brother has no interest in golfing. So, I was offered to take them off his hands for $400 plus free lessons as long as hes there practicing. I tried looking for reviews on the 52 and majority of the reviews were positive. My question is that I just picked up golfing, so I do not know if these irons are too professional for me. I found used sets of irons on craigslist and on authorized golf websites that sell clubs from anywhere from $100-250. Would picking up the mizunos be a good choice? He stated that once youre hooked in golf, its an addiction so might as well get a set of good clubs to improve on… Lastly, the shafts were S300. Since I'm new, my swing speed wont be like 90+, so should I avoid a stiff shaft? Thanks!
  3. Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself as I just started hacking away at the driving range recently. I am 24 years old with no technique, form, or any knowledge about golf other than you swing and make the golf ball sink into the hole. I have been lurking in the forums for the past week or so and gained a lot of new insights about the world of golf. I started getting interested in golf after a few of my friends decided to drop by the golfing range one day and I have to say it felt therapeutic to hit the ball regardless of how much it sliced and curved in random directions, haha~ Nice to meet you all!
  4. i would have to say tiger woods. it could be due to the younger generation but when they hear the word, "golf" they associate the word with tiger. i dont know much about jack
  5. cerritos iron wood 9, but i cant seem to find a website for the course, haha!
  6. i am a tax technician at a tax firm.
