It was a couple of episodes ago that Brian said to (I think) A rod...... Yea, You can see that you have kids and I still live with my parents.

Actually I think that Brian is seriously delusional. He needs to check into a mental health facility and get some treatment before his head explodes from all the different people he has in there and hurts someone with shrapnel from brain and skull fragments. He also still lives at home with mom and dad. There has to be something wrong there. Does he even have a girlfriend? 20 or 30 years of intense therapy and that boy will be good as new. Excuse me but I have to leave now and watch Brian at the driving range and oogle and awe. Did this sound harsh at all?

I don't understand why everyone hates Giulliani so much. He really didn't seem like such a bad sort. Talked a little too much maybe but if you watched the show at all he was always supportive of everyone. It was that other bald prick that drove me up the wall.

I understand that the manufacturers can't make the old grooves after this year BUTTTTTTT!!!! I'd be willing to bet that the golf shops are going to put in several years worth of inventory. Nonetheless, I've already backed up my wedges and they are hidden in my coat closet.

I've only driven one par four in my life. I don't remember whether it was 16 or 17 on the Makai course in Princeville Kuai. A 310 yard par 4 dogleg right. I still think about that shot from time to time.

I've been playing regular flex shafts for about three years now (age and slower swing speed) which is fairly common for a player my age. I went to a local golf store and was shopping for a new hybrid. I settled on a Cleveland XLS #2. It felt much more solid with a stiff shaft fit on gold than the regular flex so I bought it and I crush the ball with it. I started wondering about my driver so I had a Voodoo red stiff shaft made for my Supertri driver and I'm 15 to 20 yards longer but all of my irons are much more solid with the regular shafts still on them. What Gives? I'm assuming that I'm just a player in some sort of transition but I don't really know.

I've been playing my 09 Burners since last Sept. It is true that they take a little getting used to but I've never played a set of clubs that didn't. I don't think I've ever played a better set of irons in my life. You can't go wrong with Taylor Made. Get a fitting by a pro, it doesn't cost any more than a set off the shelf and they'll fit you (very important) especially for a beginner. Remember this..... Have fun and enjoy the game and if you forget this.... have fun anyway.

Just had to post this..... I posted a thread about three weeks ago stating that my putting was in deep doodoo. A fellow member of the Sand Trap took the time to send me a lengthy letter complete with putting lesson. He has asked me to keep his alias a secret and I will resect that request. I printed his lesson out, spent two hours a day on the practice green and my PPR has dropped from the hi 30's to the hi 20's. That's 10 strokes per round!!!!!! My friends want to know who this genius is but of course I'm sworn to secrecy. Just wanted to let you know how valuable this forum can be.

I loved it when Sara said "get your head out of your butt Sara" Or at least I loved it until I murmured under my breath, You can put my head up your butt and my wife heard me...... It was ugly.

If you say so. Maybe you should check with the manufacturers and see what they have to say about the hybrid.

Thanks guys, My first born son knows nothing of my plan. There was no money involved in the round but I will have my score adjusted. I think I like the responses the best that say it's karma or, no big deal. I'll take the ESC score which is 7 and have it adjusted. So far as buddies are concerned, I may have overstated that point. I was just thrwn in with these guys as a walk on. I'll work on forgiving myself and buy a ball marker.

Hit my tee shot pounded to the left and drawing. Went out of sight around the corner. That was either a damned good shot or it's in the lake. Got around the corner and saw my ball at the end of the lake, 286 yd. tee shot, got to the ball, yep a Titleist, Damn what a shot. only 86 left to the green and a birdie. So far so good. Get to the next tee and tee it up.... What do I see on the tee? NXT. Wait I play only NXT Tour balls and that's all I have. Not my ball? No it's not. Too embarrassed to tell my buddies I play out the rest of the game and post my score as the card reads. The problem.....i haven't slept for two nights. What should I do? How could I correct my card? can't re-play the hole. I have no idea how to score that hole and or correct my post and to what score it should be. Forgive me golf gods.

Ithink I agree. For what ever eason, the only club that I have a concern with is a Hybrid. I hook the crap out of a hybrid with a reg flex and hit the snot out of a stiff flex. So..... I recon I'll just get the hybrid with the stiff flex and not worry about the rest.

Well, my friend, all clubs have a specific purpose. Are you going to tee off on a par 5 with a sand wedge? Hit a 40 yard shot into the green with a driver? The purpose of the game is to get the ball into the hole and that would be difficult to get accomplished if you don't know which club to use and when, wouldn't it? What hybrid would replace a 15 or 18 degree? if you look at the hybrids on the market today, they will have a number and a loft on them. If you look up standard iron lofts, you will see what the lofts are. So, it becomes pretty simple, BUT..... a hybrid club is an iron replacement not a fairway metal replacement. But, if you want to use them as such, you certainly can.

Hi Putt Putt, Don't know why no one has picked up on this but a hybrid isn't a fairway metal. It is an iron. different purpose, different swing. Your fairways are designed for specific distances depending on your swing capability and hybrids are iron replacement clubs. I wouldn't carry a 4 or 5 iron if you are carrying a 4 and 5 hybrid. You see the difference? They are just irons that are suppose to be easier to hit. Personally.... I hook the shit out of them but most folks love em.

Well, I suppose that I would be called a clothes horse. Beside wearing Tommy Bahama slacks Or Nike whites, I typically will wear my Foot Joy Icons or my TW shoes to golf in. My fellows call me fancy pants but..... aside from wanting to look like a golfer, I want to show the game the respect that its due. Remember, it wasn't that long ago that men wore collar shirts with a neck tie and slacks with a coat to golf in. It was a gentle mens game and to me it still is. Just my opinion but you guys can continue to look as ratty as you wish.
