Yeah, If you're okay with having a pair of decent looking fakes, then go for it! No one really cares if you're wearing the real thing. If you're "only" paying $45 for a pair of polarized sunglasses that have a design you like then go for it. Just don't plan on getting them authenticated :) If you're looking for a great pair of sunglasses, I can't reccommend Native Sunglasses enough ( http://www.nativeyewear.com )! They are absolutely incredible. Only glasses I've ever found that I can wear while swinging...and I've taken advantage of the lifetime warranty as well. Great company.

I played Odyssey most of my golfing life, but found that the lack of insert sets up well for me. I always had issues with speed with my Odysseys, but my speed has been fantastic since i've switched.

yeah, sorry about that. I'm saying $100 per person, with a total of $400. Basically, I'd like to pay $400 for four guys to play two courses.

Ok, so we're heading down there in the beginning of August and its my first time playing in Myrtle. We're staying in North Myrtle beach and not looking to drive all over the place, and its a family vacation where not everyone plays golf (I'm working on that...) so I think I can only manage two rounds while we're down there. I'm also working with a pretty tight budget of around $100 pp combined. With all of that in mind, which two courses would you reccomend to us?

I'm not sure if you decided to get the detour or not, but I have one and really like it! I went to a Golfsmith and hit most of the putters they had, rolled it in every time with the Detour and bought it immediately. Only problem i've found with it so far is that its pretty huge. I picked it up used with no headcover and initially looked for a generic headcover so that no one would see it in my bag at the clubhouse and help themselves to it. Unfortunately, its next to impossible to find a headcover that fits it other than the bright orange one from Scotty.

I played in a "100 hole" fundraiser a few years ago. We went from 7:00 am-8:00 pm and the course was reserved for those of us playing the tourney. The only way for us to reach the 100 holes was to play 2 balls on the par 3's and count those as playing the hole twice, so in the end I'm not sure how many I actually played. Either way, normal walking was difficult for the next 3 days!

I have the original hibore and I love it. I demo most drivers when they come out and I haven't found one worth replacing it (except for maybe a new hibore). One of the things I like most about it is the ability to tee the ball lower. The "reverse cone technology" supposedly lowers the center of gravity over other drivers. Lowering the tee saves me from buying the huge ones and also helps a lot on windy days. I also haven't found a driver that I can hit farther, but that may just be me.

Same here! I play lefty but started putting right handed years ago when I tried a friends odyssey putter and found that I could be more consistent from the other side of the ball. One thing I have found is that I struggle with short chips around the green playing lefty. This could just be because my short game is poor, but I wonder if the lack of consistency hurts me...

Ha! I've stopped wondering if i'm doing something wrong at this point and just go with it. I get really high ball flight and it checks up, so I guess I just hit them really long. I hit my PW 160 though....not quite 195. the 4* thing is the rule I was thinking of going with, that just leaves me with a lot of half-club shots for under 100 yds that I need to keep working on.

I currently carry two wedges (besides the 45 deg pw in my set), I have a vokey 52 and 60. I have room in my bag right now for an extra club. I hit my 52 about 145 yds, and my 60 at about 110 yds. I have a pretty big drive, so with the shorter courses in my area (around 6700-6800 yds from tips) I'm wondering if I would be better suited to have a club that I hit around 80 yds with a full swing, or 130 yds. If you were in my situation, would you bend the 60 to a 58 and get a 64 deg wedge, or get a 56 and bend the 60 to a 62?

I'm pretty sure the difference is in push technology (which Apple people are just getting this summer with the new os for the iphone). Your BB is in constant contact with your email host and other things where other phones just go out every few minutes and check your email. The benefit is you get your updates immediately (sometimes I get email on my BB before it even hits my inbox on my computer), the drawback is that it needs a fresh reboot every once in a while...just like your home computer does. If you don't want to actually pull your battery out every once in a while, look in the app section for a program called "battery pull" or something to that effect. It resets your device and clears used memory for you without having to pull the back cover off.

I got my ap1's today and went out and played a few holes. I found I was able to work the ball with them fairly well (hit a great draw around some trees with a 7i). I wasn't struggling with the terrible hooks either. Very happy with these!

I've owned Blackberrys for a few years now, and the battery pull is actually part of the ownership experience. All of the programs begin to sortof layer on top of each other, and it takes a hard boot by pulling out the battery to clean it all up. I had a Pearl for two years and sometimes I would pull 2-3 times a week, other times once or twice a month. Just make sure you always "close" programs when you're done using them, instead of navigating away.

Wow. I knew I shouldn't have posted my distances. Of course someone would get obnoxious about it. So I hit the ball a long way...that just creates a totally different set of challenges to the game that I need to figure out. No need to go knocking reputation points.

it is. I usually hit driver lob wedge on par 4's, driver 8i on par 5's. Someday my short game and putter won't betray me...
