I think this is more than coincidence because it's happened several times. I played a pitch & putt with my daughter today, and had a sore neck & headache (shoulders, neck & back of head) afterwards.
I'm wondering if it's the sunlight (eye strain?), the exercise (yea, I need to get back in shape), carrying the bag (I've got an Izzo double shoulder strap model, so I wouldn't think so), chemicals on the course, or maybe just all the rotation & forces that my neck takes during a round.
It's possible that it's my swing, but I don't seem to notice this as often when I go to a driving range.
I'm generally better the next day, and it doesn't happen all the time, but I certainly hope it's not related to any course pesticides or fertilizers. For what it's worth, when I worked on my cousin's farm, I didn't have any problems with what was sprayed out there that I can remember. Heck *I* sprayed 400 gallons of roundup one day with no ill effects.
Any thoughts (besides the obvious "you're a hypochondriac, get over it!!") are much appreciated,
