  1. Because the US Open was postponed yesterday, I went over to my local course before the rain made it all the way up to New Hampshire. By the time I got to the 6th hole it had been spitting rain for about 4 holes. I pulled my 4i, walked up to the 225 yard par 3, put the ball right in the center of the green. I think I need a 3 iron. I've hit long irons better than short irons the past 2 weeks, I don't get it. Edit: On the par 3 8th, I also hit a long 4 iron that bounced off the fringe or green went 20 feet past the back of the green. I took my second shot, and chunked it real bad leaving myself 5-10 feet from the edge of green, and about 10-12 to the hole from the edge. Put it right in the hole to save par with a perfect chip...It kinda reminds me of the cingular/at&t; commercial I think... WHO AM I KIDDING??? I LOVE GOLF!!!
  2. Only one round of...well...10 last week. More of a solid hole than any particular shot, but it was my first time at the course. Walked up to a par 3 first hole, about 175-180, I stuck my tee shot to about 8 feet with a solid full swing with my 5. Hit the putt, dead center. Thankfully it was really wet out, otherwise I would have been playing from the other side of the green. This wouldn't be incredibly crazy, except I have an established history of nerves and missed opportunities on first holes.
  3. I'd have to put myself near the sugar or caffeine addiction level, it's strong but deceptive. I go to a place called Golf and Ski warehouse, I assume it's just like Golf Galaxy, indoor putting green, full lineup of gear, indoor/outdoor ranges and swing monitoring. I'm there for some reason or another 3-4 days every week. I get out to the driving range 3-4 days a week, and play golf once or twice per week depending on where I can get out for cheap money! I'm not as big into TV or Magazines, but Golf Digest and such are always the first I look for when I'm at an office or something. I do watch most every PGA tourney, and have been watching a lot more of the Nationwide and Euro tours this year, but probably not as bad as most. Golf related forums are definitely a new experience for me, so as far as my golf nerdiness, I'd have to place myself around a 7/10. I like to think I understand the physics and science behind the game better than the average joe, but by no means am I a master of all things golf.
  4. Exeter Country Club - One of the oldest courses in the United States. Established in 1889. $10 to play, gotta love it.
  5. I play golf...not really work, I'm not getting paid, I just play golf all week.
  6. I would have to say they're both equal in my book. Jack played at such a disadvantage because of the hardware he had to work with, though Tiger is being hindered by some of toughest courses and conditions known to man. They had an unmatched will to win, it's a shame Jack couldn't have grown up at the same time as Tiger...imagine the battles.
