  1. tiger woods tiger woods tiger woods tiger woods
  2. shoot man, i like him. and that's coming from somebody who was rooting against him at the byron cause he was in a playoff with fellow aggie alum ryan palmer. but he showed guts, so i applauded his win. the same guts he showed on sunday. man, what a putt on 17!!! that was why people loved to watch tiger. when he needed to make a 20 ft. double breaker, he made it, and that's exactly what KB did. he had passion and he was pumped up. i hope he sticks around. i don't think he has the talent as rickie, rory, or even AK, but he does have that killer instinct that they seem to lack. but is he the future? i'll have to say no. i think tiger is still the future for at least the next 5 years. then we'll see.
  3. this round just got a lot more interesting.
  4. come on, KB!
  5. imho, shawn clement is the best guy on the net. he is pretty animated with his descriptions and a little over the top, but his fundamentals are spot on and he really knows how to convey his teaching so it's easy for the student to understand.
  6. yes, because WE'RE the one's out there playing.
  7. more jeff ritter shenanigans... the best part starts around 1:50 with the talk about the "slap release," but the whole thing is jibber jabber.
  8. yeah, people from the south tend not to like being referred to as yanks. something about the civil war, cultural differences, etc.
  9. yes... the flat stick does add to it. there's never been a major won with a long putter, and i hope it stays that way. i think they should be illegal. chas... what bill said. stevie got richer than most pro's on the tour because of tiger, he got to travel the world, win ungodly amounts of money, buy and race fast cars, a sponsorship with valvoline, a hand in winning multiple major championships, all because of tiger. and he had the gall to say that firestone with scott was his greatest win?! that's the most absurd thing i've ever heard. because of that i don't want to see stevie win, and this can only happen if adam doesn't win. but as unreasonable as my position is, being upset with it is even more unreasonable because my sentiments will have no bearing whatsoever on this weeks tournament.
  10. wasn't offended, just offering that info in case you run into a bunch of texans up in canada sometime. ;) hmm... maybe i take what i think as common knowledge for granted. i'm surprised people have never heard of the haka. given the large samoan population on the west coast here, many high school football teams have taken to doing their native haka.
  11. what do you mean, "what's my point?" pretty obvious, isn't it? he referred to the americans on the board as "yanks." i kindly let him know not all americans take kindly to being referred to as "yank." anything else troubling you?
  12. pretty sure everybody knows what the haka is. and btw, not all americans are "yanks," fyi.
  13. baseball is far superior to that abomination of a sport you fellas call cricket. ;) seriously though, baseball is infinitely better.
  14. tiger's tearing up these bermuda greens.
  15. man i love this "marquee group" thing. you really get to experience the ebb and flow of a professional round of golf without having to walk 5 miles and push through crowds.
  16. just go to pga.com. although, i'm not sure it'll show in britain.
  17. i like adam scott, and i would love to see him win a major, but all that smack stevie was talking last week makes me not want to see him win. petty i know, but i won't make any excuses about it.
  18. Well, it's the last major of the year :(. Here's hoping that it's more interesting than the British. I would really like to see Tiger win it, but let's face it, that ain't gonna happen. As hot as it's gonna be, I think a long hitting Southern boy or Aussie stands a good chance to win it. That means you, Bubba Watson and Jason Day. I'm hoping JD(not john daly, although that would be interesting, too) is in the hunt on Sunday, but I won't be disappointed if Bubba isn't, and please Rickie Fowler, stop channeling LeBron and show up in the 4th. For all the slackers, retirees, and unemployed the PGA website will be streaming Paddy, Tiger, and DL 3 starting at 8:35 EST. Get your game face on!
  19. nice swing... very trevino-esque.
  20. some harsh words from stevie today..."this is the greatest win i've ever had." wow. i guess we can only wonder what prompted him to say that. i'm sure it will be brought up at tiger's pga presser, where he will stare with a straight face and plead the 5th(decline to answer, for the non-americans).
  21. really? i'm not sure i can agree with that. yeah, you've got some old guys who could benefit from winning a half recognized event that doesn't get you into any majors or wgc's. on the other hand you've got the current BN champion in keegan bradley coming out of nowhere this year and playing some ridiculous golf, jason day and rickie fowler showing off their potential as two of the 3 most talented guys under 25, and stevie williams leading adam scott ;) to a four man tie for the lead. not the least of which, tiger going into a saturday round with no pressure. when that happens, 9 times out of 10 we get treated to some miraculous shots that nobody, besides tiger, has any business pulling off. i know what i'm gonna be watching tomorrow.
  22. 7, 8, or 9. with no wind on flat groud, i hit my 8i 175. so depending on the wind/elevation i'll club up/down. but in tx, there's often a 2 club wind and the occasional 3 club wind.
  23. because they can see you out of the corner of their eye and if you don't remain still it could throw them off.
