  1. See if you can find a hybrid you are comfortable with. I'm between a 6 and 7 iron depending on the lie but I'm sure that's not any help.
  2. I'm a big fan of videotaping on a regualr basis. Watching yourself definitely gives you a better perspective of what's going on . I'm probably closer to the magician mindset than the mechanic, but I do know where you're coming from. Best of luck.
  3. x2 Your setup and posture should dictate your plane.
  4. The best players I know have the most consistent alignment. Picking intermediate targets and learning to align yourself properly can make you a better player before you even swing the club. Grip, alignment, and posture should go without saying but I feel like alignment is often neglected when talking about fundamentals.
  5. I would add a 60 degree wedge. I agree with the previous posts about getting lessons. They will help you understand fundamentals and *teach you how to practice*. Best of Luck 3Bills
  6. You should be practicing pitching more than any other shot. It is the foundation of a solid golf swing and is the best method to practice fundamentals.
  7. You definitely need more shaft than a regular flex.
  8. Quality time in the gym is extremely important. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, pullups, etc. are going to increase total body strength and make you a better all around athlete. With that in mind, mobility exercises (especially hip mobility) should be implemented regularly by any athlete, golfer, or anyone who wants to avoid back pain.
  9. In the side angle video you have a reverse pivot. I imagine you would see something similar with the driver in a side shot. You have to stand up and move your weight back as you come through the ball. Your power and consistency will improve as you work on it. Overall, your fundamentals look ok. It's tough to tell with the video though. Good luck!
  10. I've played a variety of newports. I am very comfortable with their look/weight. Putters are definitely a personal thing. I've never played a bettinardi but I"m sure they are quality. There is no magic putter. I would just find something that works for you.
  11. You want to let the club lag when you start your downswing. I would start your practice with pitching and work your way up. The pitch is a miniature version of your swing and is the most practiced shot among tour pros.
