  1. I was just helping a co-worker look for some used irons on Craigs List and we found many sets for
  2. I tired some from a website a few years back and was not impressed with them at all. Many felt like rocks when I hit them and that weird clear coat they put on them seemed to chip and peel. I saw this thread which might have some more info for you as well http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25611 I also tried a dozen recycled Titleists from Target when I was up north. They had a mix of V1, HP2, NXT etc for $19. Some were absolute garbage others were really nice. They came in a blue box and didn't seem to have that crappy clear coat on them that makes them look like the Wilson "Hope" or Ice balls.
  3. I agree here. I purchased an original Steelhead 3W back in 98 or 99. (Whenever it first came out) I've regripped it several times and had it reshafted once. (Bag tipped over and the shaft bent) I have changed drivers a half dozen times, putters twice and irons 3x but that 3w has stayed in my bag. It doesn't look the best anymore but I still love that club. It was one of the few that I could actually see the benefits of the "gear effect". Shots hit off the heel or toe DO come back to center much better than any other 3w I've hit. Although, I did rent a set of clubs at Del Mar back in February and they used the Callaway Fusion 3w. I loved it. Heavy like a solid hybrid and I was getting 15-20 yds more than my Steelhead. Might have been playing in CA vs here in in MN but I really liked it. If I can find one locally for cheap I'll pick one up and give it a few rounds. I have tried Orlimar, the old Titleist F series and a number of the taylor made offerings. I carry a TM Supersteel 5w and love it. but I hated the 3w and driver.
