  4. I am new to golf and have a question that maybe a bit remedial. My dad was cleaning out his basement and found a few "new" boxes of a dozen golf balls. One box is Top-Flite XLs, one is MaxFli Tour Ltd MD, and the last one is Pinnacle Gold. Here is my concern- the date on the back of the Top-Flite box is 1982!!! I don't think the Pinnacle or MaxFli balls are as old, but they are probably still from the 90s. I suppose my question is as follows- what happens to golf balls when they get old? Do they become fragile, or will they be significantly shorter than the Titleist NXT Tours I have been using? I am considering using these "antique" balls, as I am still learning the game an losing a few balls each time I go out. Blue skies, Craig
  5. Thanks for the input, guys. I guess I didn't realize the Alien was a "one trick pony," so I'll look into getting something more versatile. Cheers Craig
  6. Greetings- I'm new to golf, and I'm looking to add a sand wedge to my bag. My uncle has an Alien wedge, and loves it. I am just curious to hear what everybody else has to say about them. If they aren't so hot, what sand wedge do you guys recommend? Thanks Craig
  7. Probably not a good sign, but my irons are some of the oldest ones on the website Hokie provided (Acushnet AC 108) It's kind of disturbing knowing that my irons are 10 years older than I am
  8. I agree with the idea that you need rings, and for just that reason, I think Tim Duncan's name should be thrown in, even though SA did have a disappointing season. BTW, I'm kind of surprised Oscar Robertson hasn't been mentioned yet. But then again, I did grow up in Milwaukee.
  9. I am an account representative for an office equipment dealer in Southern Wisconsin. I just started goolfing about a month ago, but I really enjoy it and plan to keep it up!
