I was playing the Par 5 15th at White Lake Oaks yesterday when I hit what is likely my best shot of the year. After a solid drive rolled a little too close to a tree I had to take a 3/4 swing to advance the ball. I Punched a 3 wood that left me with 98 yards, into the wind to a pin at the back of the green. My ball was sitting against the edge of the rough. I choked down on my PW and took a shorter swing. The ball never left the flag. When I got to the gree it was about 8" from the cup for a tap in birdie.

I am just guessing on that one, but if she did do it, I hope it was not in an elimination challenge. Of course, with all the editing, we don't know for sure that it was actually Christina who even did it.

I'll have my brother e-mail it to me. I guess Ozzie stayed up there for about an hour pouring for everyone.

I may have spelled that one wrong, but at least I spelled Stanley Cup and parade correctly.

I had Atwater Brewery's Dirty Blonde last night and she was lovely.

I shot a lousey 89 at White Lake Oaks, but at least I did turn it around on the back with a 42. I missed a ton of putts and sprayed it off the tee.

Lori claimed that Christina stepped behind her ball and that it was only allowed on the tee. The only thing I can think of is that she stepped down on the rough right behind her ball to push it down and allow for better contact. I think Lori is doing what so many other people with low self esteem do. She sees that right now people are turning the hairy eyeball on Christina and she wants to keep it that way. Otherwise they would likely be turning their attention back on her.

My brother is a huge Wings fan. He paid $1000 for a seat on the glass to game one. He went to Downtown Detroit on Friday for the Stanley Cup Championship Parade. After the parade he went to Chris Chellios' restaurant Chelli's Chili Bar. He was there for about 30 minutes when Chellios comes walking in carrying the Cup with the rest of the team. They were having a private party in the VIP area there. A little while later my brother is walking by the VIP area and literally bumps into Chellios who is carrying the cup. He asks if he can get his picture with Chelli and the cup and Chelli says yes. My cousin goes to take the picture and his camera completely locks up. While he is screwing with it Chelli says he has to go. 10 minutes later Chris Osgood in standing on the bar filling the cup with beer and letting people drink out of it. My cousin is front and center and my brother gets a perfect picture of him drinking from the cup. Front row seat to Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals: $1000 Authentic Nick Lidstrom Jersey: $200 Celebrating your teams championship at a parade: Free Having a working camera when you bump into Chris Chellios and the Stanley Cup: Priceless

That is going to be tough. One of the things about drafting high for several years in a row is you get a lot of young talent. The problem is now that there is a salary cap, they can be tough to keep. I hope they can keep a solid core together. They have a strong young team. The Wings have excelled at geting guys late in the draft like Zetterberg, Datsyuk, etc. and balanced veterans with mid level guys and then filled in spots with young, cheaper players. Great article. Pittsburgh is clearly a knowledgeable and classy sports town. They showed a ton of class by staying and cheering. I would like to believe we would have done the same thing in Detroit. When the Steelers were playing in the Super Bowl a couple years ago, I found Steeler fans to be very similar to us here. Die hards that love their team, but love sports and respect tradition. I grew up a Steeler fan because in 1978 when I was 8 years old my soccer jersey was black and yellow and I was #12. When the 79 Super Bowl came around I naturally cheered for the team that matched my colors. I'm sure it helped that they won and that Bradshaw was one of the all time greats. Even now they are my team B. As a Lions fan you need a team B. Great example with the deflections. I am willing to bet that if it had gone in, they would have counted it. They changed the rules on the fly all playoffs long. Why not one more time.

I agree with him. The majority of domestic lights taste the same. Most "average" beer drinkers could not tell the difference between Bud Lite and Miller Lite. This is fine if you want to throw back a bunch of beers. If I am looking to drink for quantity then I will usually do Labatt's Blue Light or Mic Ultra. Although Ultra tastes or should I say doesn't have a taste much like the other domestics.

I have one of those too. What I have found works occasionally is to buy it and then deal with the fall out later. There is a saying that goes "It's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission." The key is not to abuse this.

In order: Masters US Open Super Bowl Pro Bowl (It's always in Hawaii) Caribean Cruise The Final 4 is in Detroit next year and in all likelyhood the Stanley Cup Finals will be back here too.

I had some nice pitch shots that left me in 1 putt range. I ended the night with 14 total putts. My best shot however came on the 9th. I had to take an unplayabe due to knee high grass. After the drop I had 130 to the flag and stuck a PW to 10 feet. Rolled in the par putt.

41 (par 31) on my league last night. It was not as bad as it sounds though. I had a tripple on the 3rd hole when my tee shot came up just short of the green and rolled back into knee high grass that was incredibly thick. I should have taken the drop but tried to hit out. I advanced the first but then ended up chunking the next when my club caught up in the grass. It took me 2 more to get it on the green and then I rolled in a solid put for par. I had a bad tripple on the par 4 8th after an OB tee shot. I learned my lesson on the 9th and took an unplayable from the knee high stuff. After the drop I stuck a PW from 130 to 10 feet and drained the par putt.

The order of the groups is usually determined by a draw. Sam likely went first because she had more points comming into that event than her opponent. As far as the putting, it was a cumulative score event. Several of the players had already surpassed the max their opponent could get and therefore no putting was required. Sam admitted several times throughout multiple shows that she was very nervous and at times could not get her heart to stop racing and her hands to stop shaking. I would say it played a huge role. She would likely tell you the same thing. I do think she has a great chance to make the tour eventually. I would not discount Susan. She clearly has game and right now is playing fearless. That said, she could have been eliminated early. She is a lot like Pam, minus the flaming bitch attitude, from BB3. She is young and raw. All it takes is getting hot for a few days and she could be in the final. I don't think she will win it, but she could be a tough out.

Even worse tonight. Thankfully the Wings were able to overcome it. What a great series. Two outstanding teams, both with bright futures.

I am not a jewelery guy. I wear my wedding ring, Trion:Z bracelet and a watch. Over the years I have become a huge watch fan. I like big watches since I have large hands and long arms (I am 6'8"). One that I love but have not been able to justify buying is the Oakley Minute Machine. I love the size and style but the $1200 price tag for something I can't wear every day is pretty steep. I run a gym so I am always banging my watch into machines and weights. Right now I wear a big Fossil with a face that is 1 3/4" across. http://cgi.ebay.com/Oakley-Time-Tita...d=p3286.c0.m14 Any other watch fans out there? What do you guys like?

I remember about 9-10 years ago I saw them on Leno and was trying to explain them to people. They thought I was nuts. I saw them when they did their stadium style concert a few years ago and loved it. I have heard that the theater one is even better.

I have tried to use the interview thing over the years to guess who was gone. Sometimes they throw you a curve ball though. With the girls you can occasionally see that one of them was crying. I do think they need to have Courtney interviewed on every future episode of Big Break. She should wear the same shirt and bra combo that she did last week. They could mix that in with footage of her in the white shorts. It's interesting how most of them look better in their golf attire than they do in the interviews. Christina ans Sam were way hotter on the course than they were in the "confessional." I liked Sam a lot and felt she had the game to win it all. I just think she could not get passed her nerves. Christina made a big mistake with the choke comment, but what Lori is doing is 100 times worse. It looks like they will be airing it out soap opera style next week. I hope Lori slips on a Twinkie in the elimination challenge and I hope it's Christina who takes her out. Susan just gets more impressive each week. She might be there at the end.

That is good news for the league. They need to make sure next year the first two games are not on VS. I watch every year, even if the Wings aren't in it. Last years numbers were bad because it had two teams that most of the US was not interested in. Anaheim was not a sexy team and most Americans could not find Ottawa on a map. This was a dream match up for the league. One of the most popular teams in Detroit and Sid the Kid. The hockey has been great. One of the big complaints that the average sports fan does have with the NHL is the total lack of consistency in officiating. This series it has been absolutely awful.

Will Tiger ever hold all four majors at the same time?
Jeepthrills replied to BASHERBAKER69's topic in Golf Talk
There is a reason that it has never been done. It is incredibly hard to win 4 events in a year, much less the four toughest events. Furthermore, they each require different skills and specialties. For him to hold them all at once already trumps most of what Jack did in any single stretch of his career. He should and likely will get the career mark. I still see him getting at least one more this year if not two. -
It's time. Besides, I have to pull for him. About 12 years ago I was in a Winter parade in Lake Orion, MI and wore a costume that was this monster. The head was about 4 feet across and weighed about 50 pounds. It rested on your head and shoulders. It's name was Big Brown.

The obvious part has already been addressed, but to call Jack a superior athlete is almost as silly. Tiger is one of the best conditioned athletes in all of sports. Tiger has done everything that Jack has to the same point in his career. Most things Tiger did earlier and more frequently. -
Great game. I am dragging A$$ right now. My 10 year old stayed up and watched the whole thing with me. Solid, but did not want to get up for school today. For some reason I just knew the Wings were going to give up that last minute goal. It is so tough to play 6 on 5. If it's a power play there is no icing and there is more room to move the puck and skate. With 6 guys out there it's too tough. Oh well, at least my Wings in 6 will end up being right.

I made a 40+ foot birdie putt in an otherwise mediocre round.
