  1. i got hired on as a framer for this big commercial const company here in bend. But they never moved people up. I always enjoyed talking to the estimaters and the Project managers. Maybe I will try it someday.
  2. how did you get into that?
  3. what kind of jobs do tour players have before they become tour players? Or even better what jobs do the guys on here that are 1-2 handicap.
  4. TODAY! I just got my first one. it was sweet. to bad the shadows, I couldnt really see it go in. 5th hole at widgi creek. 143 yard pw, big bounch spin plank.... hit the pin. it was sweet. is it true that you get a dozen balls free from most companies if you send in proof of hole in one?
  5. I just got a hole in one at widgi, hole# 5. 142 yard par three. Hit a PW. One big bounce spins back and plunck... it was cool.
  6. that would be intresting. A pretty good nich doing pleasure craft. How long have you been doing it?
  7. I view this place alot on tuesdays and fridays since it is my floor day at my agency. I work for Century Insurance Group LLC, out of bend oregon. We are an independent agency with over 50 carriers for auto, home, life, health and Commercial insurance. Figured I would get a little bit of a commercial in there
  8. insurance agent haha..... I work for an independent angency that sells life, health auto home and commercial. On tues and fridays I view alot. those are my floor days
  9. your the one who told me to get a new driver! lol...... There is more consistancy to the new drivers that dont have the grooves on the face. thats kinda what iam leany torward. Maybe I will get a cheap shaft and play around with this calloway or taylormade. I just love the look of my titleist.
  10. I have heard that drivers go dead by alot of guys i play with and I thought for awhile it was hype, but how old the shaft and head is, I have been thinking about switching for a "more" consistant flight.... am I crazy? heck i dunno
  11. hey guys. so now that Iam going to focus on getting a new three wood and a new driver here is the driver thread. I play the 975D right now with the graphalloy shaft. My swing is not super fast but I do produce a pretty good club head speed and pretty good power. with the 975 right now I am right around 290 yard drives everytime... sometimes more. and Iam pretty consistant with it. I can take it out on a narrow course and hit it pretty well. But, its getting old and I really need to get something new in the bag. I love titleist. So I was looking at the 983. I know the shaft is one of the biggest things...... I have a Great big bertha 2 driver that I could re shaft, does this club head face have the spring effect? I also have a taylor made 580, does that have the spring effect...... This is the big question for money sake does it make sence with all the new gear coming out to just re shaft the those drivers ?
  12. I am going to stay with the 962's for the time being until I decide on what I want to get and see where my game goes. I need to focus on getting a new three wood and then getting a new driver.... so time to make two new threads :) well get everybody posting here on a friday haha
  13. ya there are so many new clubs out there, I like the progressive combo's that are out there. One of my co workers plays the calloway pro series and he loves them. he went from the 690 titleist series to these. He says there more fun. Isnt that the point? why do people want to use blades anyways with everything thats so new coming out. From alot of the "players cavitity back irons" i can work the ball pretty well. any ideas?
  14. Davis Love III is super classy dresser. Anybody know where you can buy the Polo rain gear?
  15. I have three golfers that I really like. Phil well for the main reason hes left handed (iam also) Davis Love III because of how classy he is, everything about him reminds me of golf for some reason. But then the best choice that is not up there Payne Stewart, His swing was effortless, his attitude was great, he had great joy in life and loved life and his family. (that was when he actually became humble and started living for something other then himself) His book was great. Eh thats my opinion.
  16. Ya I still do like the solid feel of the irons, the driver needs to be swapped out bad. I was looking at some of the new ones and I just love the classic look of the driver. I hate the huge drivers, just cant get passed the way that they look. I got some 731pm's the other day to hit. Dang those are some hard irons to hit. They feel so good but the miss hits are harsh on the hands. I have a 580 head that a buddy gave to me after the shaft snapped because of the airport. Iam thinking about re shafting that but dont know yet. I also have a Great big bertha 2 that a buddy gave me. Any ideas on what head to use with a new shaft?
  17. Hey guys. Iam new on here. Figured I would throw this question out to everybody on here. I have been playing for awhile, i quit golf for about 5 years and really getting back into it this year. got myself down to a 9 handicap in 5 months not doing to bad so far. Right now I play with some older 962 Irons and a 975 D driver with a graphalloy shaft in it. I have been looking for some new clubs. I want a nice clean look to them. Next year this time I hope to try and qualify for a few am events. I miss playing in competition alot. any ideas? thanks
