  1. Thinking about picking up a set of Used Cleveland CG7 Black Pearls but will need to switch out shafts to a stiff shaft. I'm thinking about the Project X 6.0 Flighted (or the 6.5s). Been looking on Ebay and Golf Forums for Used ones. The question I have is about the Tip? Does anyone know if I need Parallel or Tapered Tips? OR does it matter with the Cleveland CG7 Black Pearls? Also, my 6 iron SS is about 90 and Mizuno suggest X100(Soft Stepped). Can anyone that has a set of the CG7 BPs compare Clevelands "Standard" Flight Speed Shafts to say Dynamic Gold and Project X shafts? I know each companies stiff is probably another companies Reg flex and if anyone has hit both the Stiff and Reg Cleveland Flight Speed shafts do you think the Reg flex would play more on the stiff side and MIGHT work fine with my Swing Speed? Thanks in advance everyone I'm still trying to learn all about Shafts and so on
  2. Honestly this is what I would do: Next time you guys are in the Pro Shop ask the worker if Scotty's warranty covers Rust(We already know that it does). The Worker will say yes, your buddy is happy(because he thinks his scotty will get fixed free of charge). Then when he sends it in Scotty will either fix it(verifying it real) or send it back(stating that its a fake). Now you not the bad guy and BOTH of you can be like WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS FAKE?!?!?!?! Also, I'm guessing your buddy KNOWS its fake and if he says "NAH, there is no reason to send it in to get fixed" will verify that he knows its fake and you have your answer(again with out causing any trouble). I really don't see why you care so much BUT if you really must know I would try what I have suggested above /Shrug PS: Let us know how it goes HAHAHAHA
  3. Looking to buy a cheap driver and these two are the main ones I'm looking at. I do NOT have the chance to hit them before I buy so I thought I would ask on here to see if anyone has hit both and have any feedback? Thanks in advance
  4. Just checking to see if anyone still plays these irons and if so have you compared them to say G10's? I play the G10's ATM, but have always LOVED the look of the old Ping ISI "Coppers". I went into the Golf shop today and a guy had traded in a FULL set of them 1-9,PW, SW. They feel great in my hands and I'm so close to trading in my G10s for them But I just wanted to check and see if anyone has any feedback on these irons. Like Feel, Forgiveness, distance and if you have compared them to G10's. I have always heard that the "Copper" ones feel SOOOOO good but sadly I have not had the chance to hit them. I know some will say the "NEWER" G10s are cool and hip but for me I LOVE the way the older Pings feel/look. Thanks to everyone in advance
  5. AND you could probably get away with using it as a Golf Cart too
  6. Yes its the lie...
  7. I would go with a set of PING G10's. Buy some used ones from a golf shop or Ebay(make sure the person/shop have a TON of reviews). EVEN if teh color code does not fit you, PING will totally change the color(Fit) for you. They only charge $18 bucks to do this, so you can pretty much buy ANY G10's and get yourself fitted then send them to PING with 18 bucks to get them bent to what you need. GREAT way to save some money and get very very good quality clubs IMO
  8. Maybe check out the NEW R9's....
  9. Maybe you read my post wrong? I'm NOT talking about the PING Rapture, I'm talking about the newer PING Rapture "V2. If you think the G10 is much longer than the rapture "V2" I feel sorry for you and you must truly be one of those guys that everything is backwards when it comes to the norm on golf clubs
  10. I hit the G10's (Not much of a difference from the G15 irons if you ask me). There is also a set of G10's for sale in the auction area you might wanna take a look at. One thing to think about with Pings are the fitting. I bought a used set and I was worried about the COLOR not fitting but I called Ping and they told me for only $18 bucks I can send them in and they would change the fitting color of the entire set.
  11. If your gonna dish out the cash for an R9 I would go ahead and look at the new PING G15's or even a PING Rapture V2(my favorite PING driver). I have hit the newer Titleist drivers next to a G15 and Rapture V2 and for ME it went. Hit 5 different drivers that day. 1) PING Rapture V2 (Farthest and VERY forgiving) 2) PING G15 (Probably the most forgiving, close with the Rapture V2, but not near as far) 3) Callaway FT9 (Loved the feel, but the PINGS just got better overall performance.) 4) TM R9 (If your swing changes a lot this is the driver for you, LOVED the how much a person can adjust these things. Best way I can describe this driver is not best at anything but was always around 2nd at everything haha) 5) Titleist 909 D2 (Ball goes VERY far, but by far the less forgiving) The Rapture V2 is a little older BUT this has allowed prices to drop and a person can pick one up for less than a new G15. Probably best to just go hit them all HAHA. You also might try out the Cobras ( I hear they are VERY nice)
  12. Gratz man that is a great deal you got there. Also, be careful about buying clubs off of Ebay. Just a lot of fake ones sold on there. No need to worry about bags though.
  13. I like the Ogio's. You should also look at the "Ogio Grom" Hop on Ebay, there are some Ogio Groms with around 30mins to an hour left that are at about 80 bucks ATM.
