  1. Thanks for the info. Went out and played league last night and allowed Upro to go into sleep mode and it worked great. Took maybe 2-3 seconds to lock on to distance, after touching button - no problem. Battery was still 3/4 +, after 9 holes and many demos to other golfers. P.S. Shot my first ever 40! Won low net with a 29.
  2. Bought a doz. ProV1 refurbished from Meijer for $24.95. Look good except for a 'refurbished by' logo on the side. Saving them and playing the rest of my DPs. Great News! I've actually had to retire some balls from overuse, instead of just losing them.
  3. I agree with losing the driver, starting out. I have hit my 3 wood 244 yds. (good day, Wheaties, etc.). I keep the 3I in my bag, for those pesky putt/chips, just off the green and for shooting under pine trees. I need all the help I can get, and always have 14 clubs to choose from.
  4. Thanks for the feedback, I'll try that 'sleep mode' thingy. I didn't know it would standby and not have to reboot again.
  5. I belong to the 'Silent Majority'. I turn my phone to vibrate, and check as needed. I really do not want to listen to somebody else talking on their cell.
  6. Uh, I have a Upro and I love what it does for me. I like knowing the yardage quickly, so I can start figuring out club selection without holding up play. Question: Has anybody noticed a battery issue? I played my first 18 hole outing, and it went dead at the tee to 16. I've only been out a few times, will the battery get stronger after a few cycles? Thanks
  7. Of course I always think a great game is just around the corner. Otherwise I would probably give up.
