I just started doing the same thing in my last round. I have a real hard time making a huge backswing and shoulder turn, so I figured I would do something closer to that with about a 3/4 takeaway. My result through one round is much better ball striking, and actually hit a few close with it!

anything inside of 100 yards (a full gap wedge for me) has little hip action involved... and definitely isnt a full hard follow-through. You are just going to have to get a feel for how hard YOU need to hit those shots with practice. One out of every few times I go to the range, I will just use a wedge for about half a bucket and try to hit shots 30/40/50/etc yds on the nose to see how it feels.

6 yard putt is a gimme half the time?? You realize that is an 18 foot putt... and i dont think EVER a gimme. Even good putters will only hit an 18 foot putt maybe 2 or 3 out of 10 times. This is also assuming you can put your drive within 120 yards on every single par 4, which is also a bit of a stretch.

If you dont wanna spend too much you can always get a decent enclosed tent too and just put a space heater in it...

Oh man tough choice... I really, REALLY want the R9 irons after testing them out the other day, but I know I need lessons more than new clubs so I went with that.

I like to stick in the 6200-6500 range... anything more than that and I am struggling to reach long par 4's in two.
