  1. yeah I would say he hit the jackpot! For anybody who hasn't seen the movie, you must watch either by yourself with one other person, and in the dark. Definitely increases the intensity!!!!
  2. No I am not referring to how that perfect 8 iron shot ended up in the drink!! I watched the movie Paranormal Activity this weekend, and it was alright. Definitely creepy though. Has anybody else seen this movie? Your thoughts?
  3. I usually don't care what others do with there round as long as it doesn't affect me. Mulligans IMHO, introduce some inaccuracy acutual ability. Again, if you are playing with me and decide to take a mulligan, as long as we are not holding up play, I have no problem with that. BUT, at the end of that round you need to acknowledge that your score is "fudged" a little, and don't start bragging!
  4. I recently bought the R7 460, due to a great price. I currently have the original R7 quad, which is 400 cc I believe. I have always said that if you hit it well don't change, but I will be honest I am curious to see if the 460 will improve my game off the tee.
  5. I think I will pick some of these up practice balls up. As far as going once a week to the larger practice facility, that sounds like a good idea. My main limiter is time, having kids, and having them in sports makes my "off" time short. So I guess I need to sit down and literally budget my time for golf. Because lord knows I can't go without golf!!!
  6. I am going with Notah Begay III. I haven't seen him in awhile but he has been a good role model for the Native American community, and being a pro golfer from about the same upbringing as I had is pretty cool.
  7. I actually found a co-worker that did purchase the program. As far a riduculous goes I would have to say that it isn't. I read the program and what it basically teaches is the "basics" of the golf swing. Breaks it down into simple steps. No blockbuster new techniqes, but solid instruction on hip turn, balance, shoulder turn and so on. As far as breaking 80 goes, practicing these drill could and will help, but people need to realize that (and the author even says as much) this instruction is to "give you the tools and drills to practice and work into your own game". As I said for a beginner looking to drop some shots and not break the bank it may not be a bad idea.
  8. that is also a good suggestion. the commute for me would be about 40 minutes one way, and though I would love to have a course that offers excellent facilities. I am limited by time with my kids in sports, homework ect. so every minute counts!!
  9. thanks I haven't seen those. I checked out the link, and they are a little pricey though.
  10. can you tell if you mishit the wiffle balls? do they fly far enough to tell?
  11. congrats!! i have yet to drop the ever elusive ace, but that doesn't stop me from spraying shots all over and hoping for the best!!!
  12. I happened to live a little ways away from the many golf courses in the Portland, Oregon area. the closest course, and the one that I play the most, doesn't allow woods on the range, and no chipping around the practice green. I have been playing there a while now and low and behold the two worst parts of my game are.................(dramatic pause)...................chipping and long game. Any Ideas on how I can get this practice in without ticking off my home course?
  13. one of the main things that I usually do when reading tips in magazines is, try to picture in my mind if the tip is feasable to my game. I cant coil like tiger, I cant putt with a claw grip like dimarco, and I surely cant do the reverse flop like mickelson. One tip I do remember is a foldout of Ernie Els' swing. It is so smooth and (for lack of a better term)....easy. It makes me see what a smooth swing looks like.
  14. how much, on average, does it cost to get fitted for clubs?
  15. thanks for all the responses, I was also wondering how much (if at all) my swing speed would slow down if I went with the 460?
  16. how long did it take to get the clubs back? I think it would be best to return the clubs to the manufacturer but I also dont want to be without my sticks for too long......
  17. what do you have your 425 set up for? I was looking on e**y for some and the prices are cheap, I am just afraid of getting a fake.
  18. I was wondering if I can get professionaly fitted for irons/woods, but just have the irons/woods that I already own adjusted if need be. Is this possible? I have never been fit for clubs before and I know the benefits to being fit for clubs, but i dont have enough money to completely buy new clubs.
  19. I was thinking of purchasing a R7 425 to replace my R7 quad. besides the obvious head size difference, is there any real benefit to upgrading to the 425? I also checked out the R7 460 but am not sure if I want to only have two moveable weights instead of 4. Then again, I am not sure the 4 moveable weights are even helping me!!
  20. you want to guarantee that the clubs are assembled in the USA, purchase the parts and put them together yourself..otherwise you will never know........
  21. where do think the profits for Taylor Made clubs go to? the company is based in California!
  22. why does it matter if the clubs were made in China, japan, africa, or the USA, if they do what they are supposed to do where's the problem? A well made club is a well made club, bottom line.
  23. I am a RAIDERS fan and always will be!! They may not be much right now, but its a rebuilding DECADE. one good thing is when they are down about 3 touchdowns in the first half I can head out and get on the course!!
  24. I absolutely love my R7 quad, thought about the R7 425 but why change a good thing? I did enter a driving contest at a recent Nike demo and hit the sasquatch a ton, but I just dont like looking down at that clubhead, it reminded me a swinging a waffle iron! but when I connected, with the 'quatch it did feel good on impact.
  25. I do like the v-steel, I have had TM for so long that, most of the time I just go for that product. So I was just wondering if anybody really liked another brand, so maybe i could get some insight on other brands.
