  2. Seascape is closest to Santa Rosa, then Emerald Bay, then Regatta. Further west, Sandestin with four courses, two great ones Raven and Burnt Tree, further west Kelly Plantation and Indian Bayou. All with a variety of pricing and quality, but you can't go wrong with any of them
  3. Maybe the Ocean course at Kiawah where they're playing the PGA this year, plus they have four other courses there, right outside of Charleston
  4. Give Manitou Passage a look, Lochenheath, and Interlochen are in your price range as well.
  5. Presidio's a decent choice at the low end of your budget, close into the city, great views of the Bay, the Golden Gate, and a good test. Pasatiempo and Harding are tops though, and worth the effort to play.
  6. Near Visalia, try Valley Oaks in Visalia, Ridge Creek in Dinuba, for the Fresno area and north there's more choices.
  7. Starting to plan a week long golf vacation in January in FLorida. In your opinion, where's the best place to base with the best assortment of good quality, golf courses. I'm not talking Bay Hill quality courses or accomodations, more middle of the road prices. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  8. Yea, pretty tough to get lower rates this time of year, come back in May, everything's on sale.
  9. Bobcat Trail and Riverwood are two of the better courses in the area, about 30 minutes.
  10. Have played them all except Club West, all good tracts, but then again there's a ton of courses in Phoenix Scottsdale. Have you thought of We Ko Pa or Talking Stick??
  11. Unbelieveable re: the rent car. Here's a suggestion, don't tell here how much the greens fees are, or you'll be playing golf at Pirates Cove!
  12. They have TaylorMade for rentals
  13. Live here, play here all the time. Orange County National, can't go wrong with either course. Sugarloaf is a great layout, but tough to get to and conditions are suffering. Harmony, again tough to get to, nice course, but not worth the effort. The International at Championsgate is nice, so is Mystic Dunes. Metrowest near Universal Studios is always great. Hope this helps.
  14. Disney's courses are overated and expensive, but if I had to play one it would be Osprey. Right around the corner from Disney is Orange County National, 2 great 18 hole courses at half to 2/3 the price of Disney, better golf.
