  1. i go 18 with a new ball then at the end of 18 i add the ball to my putting/chipping shag bag...
  2. i start with a 7 iron everytime for some reason? maybe its my comfort club? anyways i always strectch and then move from the 7 iron to the 5 iron to the 3 wood then to the tee box...
  3. id say its all mental... take an extra club and let her rip! ha
  4. i play the MP-60 and i LOVE them, if i were going to buy a new set of irons i would buy the same irons!
  5. im hooked on the pro v1x right now, but would really like to switch over to the bridgestone ball for a dozen or so just to see what all the hype is about. can anyone recomend the best bridgestone ball thats comparable to the pro v1x? thanks!
  6. so on a side note, how far do you hit your wedges? i would say this is my range... 48* PW = 115 - 120 yards 52* GW = 110 yard range 56* SW = 80 - 100 yards
  7. this thread is calling out to anyone who bought a new set of wedges this season. what are you playing, are you happy with them, and why? i am going to buy a set of the new clevelands (50, 54, 58) i think and i would love to hear pros/cons on these or why i should or should lean towards the cleveland wedges... thanks in advance!
  8. hmm.... i really dont have a gut feeling that the one i bought is a fake. guess i will know in a few days when the newport shows up. i just couldnt figure out what the registry # was. thanks for the info though!
  9. yes i was looking in the bottom right corner of the scotty site... http://www.scottycameron.com/ under the quick authentication section. my seller states the serial number as 1885833 but when you type that in the quick authentication section i get a "This registry number could not be located" response. however with the feedback and all the nice pics and zoom pics that the seller posted i feel confident its a legit scotty. guess only time will tell...
  10. by the way im 99.9% confident that this cameron i bought on ebay is real, but for some reason the serial # the seller provided isnt showing up at scottycameron.com am i missing something? i havent gotten the putter yet since i just bought it, but from the looks of the sellers pics and the sellers feedback i would say i am safe... any thoughts yall?
  11. thank you both very much for the feedback! i guess it might have helped a bit if i posted a description of the actual newport i bought. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...T#ht_500wt_976
  12. i guess my only concern was having never used a putter with an extension, i just didnt know how hard it would be to take the cameron from 34.25" to 33" and insure that the putter was cut back to the stock 33" to insure that the two 20gram weights are fitted to what the stock length should be. is the 1.25" extension thats in this cameron just going to be a piece of iron shaft?
  13. basically im looking at buying a scotty cameron newport 2 that was originally 33" but has been lengthened to 34.25" and i was wondering how hard it would be to regrip the putter and take out the added 1.25" any advice would be much appreciated!
  14. so im gonna regrip my mizuno irons with the new golf pride multicompound grips. my question to you is, would you regrip every club in your bag with the same exact grip (not the putter obviously) but driver thru sand wedge.... what are the pros and cons of this? thanks!!!
  15. i wish i could say i am a better putter than i am! putting really is the reason that im a 12 handicap and not a 7 handicap. the one thing i need to focus on more is taking my putter back not as far as i typically do. i tend to take the putter back too far and then my follow through tends to get off line and push the ball to the right. this causes me to make more bogies than i should make. ive identified my problem this off season and my goal for this upcoming season is to putt much better! hopefully...
  16. i was very lucky to have a step father who was very into golf. he married my mom when i was 5 years old and i started taking lessons at age 9. i played every summer as a young man, and even played high school golf. for some reason i slowed down on playing during college. guess i had too many other things on my mind! but ive been back into golf for the past couple of years, and plan on getting very serious about lowering my handicap this season!
  17. i have been playing ping beryllium isi irons for the last 12 years, but just recently bought a set of mizuno mp 60's cause they feel and look so dang good. ive only got one round in with them, but i was sticking balls on greens left and right, and i got so much more feel out of the mizuno's compared to the ping isi's. i still love my isi's but im gonna see what happens this summer with these mp 60's... i may never go back to the ole pings... ha
  18. hi! im new to the forum, and it looks great from what ive read so far! anyways i am a Travel Director for Maritz Travel Company. i get paid to travel the world and have been doing so for the past 5 years...
